I find them interesting because I enjoy seeing trends in stuff like that. And I love when games that I love do well. but I'm not going to go on some sort of nerd rage when my game bombs. I also track movies, but I'm not going to whine when something I love bombs. I can separate the two. It's the people who use it as ammo for the console war bullshit that's so annoying.
