And by awesome, I mean awkward. People that worked for the venue had a certain number of backstage passes, so they went around giving them to relatively hot chicks (who were super annoying) and nerdy dudes that were completely socially awkward. I got picked because they thought I was there by myself and they felt bad for me, but really I was just there with a bunch of drunk guys, so they were all in the bathroom and I was standing waiting for them. It was really fucking awkward backstage, and the only normal people were this group that were in-laws/extended family of one of the guys. Omar looked like a scared animal, and Cedric was pissed because these dumb girls kept wanting pics and he was obviously busy and had his hands full. Ended up talking to Adrian Terrazas-Gonzalez the entire time, who was playing sax for them and some other instruments back then. Oh and smoked a blunt with Thomas Pridgen.
