We grew up in the late 80s/early 90s though. We weren't given hand outs or feminine cartoons. From a young age we were molded by strong male role models such as He-Man, Optimus Prime, Father Smurf, and Duke.

Boys today are molded to be sissies. I remember being so frustrated by Zelda games I almost cried, then remembered the words of Prime: Sometimes even the wisest of man or machine can make an error. I picked myself up by my bootstraps and manned up.

So no, don't blame the children of today. Blame the adults who made them this way.

Here is an example when I knew the next generation of kids was going to be different than my generation. I remember as a kid watching TV and my heroes or the things I liked were things like The Flintstones, Star Trek, Looney Tunes, etc.

But all the entertainment involved adults even if they acted childishly in certain cases. It was like that is what you wanted to be.

But the next generation after mine got all these like baby version of things. Like here are the Flintstones but they are all kids. Here are Scooby Doo and the gang but they are all kids just like you!

I dunno. A Pup Named Scooby Doo was good because it was a more corny version of Scooby Doo. The fact that they were kids changed nothing. Also, I was a huge fan of A Pup Named Scooby Doo and Scooby Doo vanilla as a kid.

I watched lots of "manly" stuff like He-Man and GI Joe just as much as I enjoyed "kiddy" stuff like Animaniacs or Tiny Toons.

I miss WB and hannah barbara cartoons of the 90s. I still disagree about cartoons with kids though, Doug for example had a big impact on me. Almost every topic that came up on that show I eventually went through.
