Himuro wants to go into animation now, preferably as an editor.

That's not a "now". I've always studied animation.

I'm still just amazed at Himuro's statement that his next victim is going to be the video game industry.  He's going after a much bigger whale this time than his previous kill, anime...

Go get 'em, Ahab.  Bring the video game industry down!

The 360 supports VGA resolution, so I just bought the VGA cable, a monitor, and set the 360's resolution to VGA.

Actually, I heard from reviews since the 360 is basically a PC, you can actually get the best image from it thru a monitor.  Image quality on my monitor is beautiful, I must attest, and it was way cheaper than buying an HDTV.

it's horrible that people are afflicted with SDTV when a cure can cost as little as $300.
$300? That means they'd be stuck with a shitty LCD when they can join the glorious plasma master race.

I had so much fun with the DS. But Nintendo needs to make a handheld that can output better graphics.

I'm getting tired of the shitty DS picture quality. I'd rather kill myself than play a 3D game on the DS.
And I really wanted to play another Okami. Oh well...

The DS does 3D just fine. It's the crappy developers who don't know wtf they're doing with respect to fundamental art design. Look at the Dragon Quest and FF remakes, all beautiful for the most part. Ask the 4 million+ DQIX owners in Japan (a record for the series, btw) if the DS's 3D "shortcomings" affect them.

I think if we learned anything with regard to 2D/3D gaming this year, it's that 3D gaming isn't so much an evolution of 2D gaming, just an optional preference. 2D titles are still very much in the game thanks to Nintendo. Sony, as the former market leader, emphasized the shit out 3D gaming and cinematic presentation to the point where it was virtually taboo, until the Big N created the perfect platform for 2D developers and illustrated BY EXAMPLE that the 2D perspective is not only a viable gaming preference but more importantly a profitable one.

Come to think of it XBLA is probably the best place since the 16 bit gen to play 2d (style) games. Shadow Complex, Trilas, Pacman CE, Galaga Legions, Geo Wars etc.  Man what an amazing system.

Don't forget about indie games.  The Arkedo platformers destroy every overrated piece of DS trash.  The 360 is keeping 2D alive.  Nintards like NB are lauding false prophets.
