Capcom is announcing a new game tomorrow.  Gametrailers TV is supposed to have a trailer for a new game from Platinum Games this week.  God Hand 2 / Okami 2 / Viewtiful Joe 3  exclusive to Xbox 360.
Well we know the Platinum Games announcement won't be anything from Kamiya seeing as how Bayonetta just came out.

Well, it's Jan. 26 in Japan. Why doesn't someone go look at the site? I did but I don't have Silverlight installed on this (work) PC.

@Chronovore, Hmm, I wonder if Capcom would indeed make the same mistake they made with the Gamecube.

Does anyone know if Muramasa is a Wii exclusive?

Supposedly their is a link on GAF with a scan mentioning an actual Monster Hunter Frontier 360 port.

2chan claims its actually multi-platform

could all be bullshit though, we'll see.

Marvelous was pretty vocal awhile back about how their Wii games (No More Heroes 1, that Arc something RPG, Little King Story, Muramasa) were failures and how they wanted to bring them to other consoles.  Something like that.

That's pretty insane.  Seems too bonehead of move for Capcom to be real.

Then again if they release it in the US with free online play...now we're talking!
...is Frontier even any good compared to the mainline games???

I've heard from several people now that , if everything planned for announcement gets announced, then Sfegs are in for a very rough day tomorrow.

Looks like it was a rough day for Wiitards, and nobody else batted an eye.  Not even 360 fans seem enthused by this news.

(wii fans have taken this REAL bad, they aren't even making any sense. As i say... i have people who haven't played a MH game to date going on about how MH Wii is better than MHF!!! - it's fucking barmy! then to try to go on about how MHF is a complete nothing whilst MH3 is?! looooool suuuuuuuure)

Quote
yea looks like dcharlie's info was a bit off

the fuck?! here's the problem going around the net. This is fucking MASSIVE news. Bigger than Wii MH3, bigger than capcom ps3 exclusives (oh wait, there aren't any)
The downlplaying is fucking hilarious and it's predominantly from people who, when challenged, say shit like "well, i only played 3 hours of MHG anyways"

this isn't just boots down throats

this is so deep that we are adding a third leg out the anus.

Wii owners got owned
Sony fans already burning corpse got some parafin piss added.
Capcom have spoken:
REAL CONSOLES FOR OUR REAL GAMES.

No spin elsewhere cuts it, this is the end game, this is the start of the victory parade.

Was talking the whole "sfags have really though day" part when most of them didn't give a shit and the wii guys took over.

Unless more stuff is in the wings then the statement was meant for the wii guys, hence saying it was off.

Plus the hyperbole your spewing would have been oh more justified if it was a MH 4 or something.

will be looking forward to this since i love MH but i'm hoping NA dont have to pay no fees cuz that will stop my quest right there (or maybe will just buy a month and see how that goes :teehee)

and to add more salt to the wound PS3 was the first next gen system to announce a MH game being made for it but it never got it

well, Sfags are hardly likely to throw the THIS IS A DISASTER card after being burnt for a second time but this HAS to hurt for Sfag MHers.

No two ways about it , Wii MH was a kick in the nads, X360 MHF is just thrusting red hot needles up an already engorged arsehole.

I guess so but those people are few and far between IMO so its not as epic.

The only two i remembered on GAF that really suffered when wii MH news came out was Defuser and Mickeyknox, i wonder how they are taking this?

wii fans have definitely taken over  :lol

I don't think anyone is going to throw a THIS IS DISASTER card after seeing a $15/month PC port with circa 2004 graphics that basically screams "We couldn't be making less effort to release a product".  I guess Wii fans might, but as we've established that's only because of platform pride and the fact that they don't actually play Monster Hunter.

I have to think that any legitimate fan of the series has either already played this or disregarded it.  It's not like they ported Crysis or something -- a PC capable of running the game probably costs as much as an Xbox.

2) coupled with the "it's better than MHF on PC!" makes me think that not only have they not played MH on previous gens, they have yet to play the definitive version because this is akin to saying "rape THEN murder < Murder then rape"
etc etc etc...

So basically you're saying that rape THEN murder is the definitive version?

Um, MS has been working out a XBL MMO policy, and this may be it.

Lord of the Rings Online, Champions Online, Star Trek Online, and Age of Conan all have Xbox 360 versions finished READY TO SHIP but Microsoft hasn't allowed them past approval yet because they've been working out a MMO Pricing Policy. This $15/month for the MMO+Live could be it.

I take back what I said -- a computer capable of running this game cannot be had for the price of an Xbox.  It can be had for far less than that:

1.0 GHz processor, 256 MB of RAM, a video card supporting DirectX 8.1 or higher with 64 MB of VRAM, and a 16bit soundcard

I'm pretty sure you can run this thing on an iPhone or TI-86 calculator.

Lord of the Rings Online, Champions Online, Star Trek Online, and Age of Conan all have Xbox 360 versions finished READY TO SHIP but Microsoft hasn't allowed them past approval yet because they've been working out a MMO Pricing Policy.

Then why did they allow FFXI to ship?  I suspect the problem with those games would be that they would eat up the majority of hard drive space.  WoW is up to a 17GB install......people that received a 20 gig hard drive only have 12 gigs of usable space.

I just traded for MH Freedom Unite for the PSP after playing the demo and being seduced by the game's brutal, near-vertical learning curve.
