Until about a year ago, more than half of Suzuki's lineup consisted of rebadged Daewoos. So's the Chevy Aveo

I still love my Corolla and would buy another Toyota car.

With that said, will this help improve the dollar to yen ratio? Cause that would be sweet.

I also love my Corolla.  And I'm going to keep it until it's worth something again.

Nothing is fucked!

Law enforcement involvement in the near-catastrophe began when a driver reported to the CHP that his blue Toyota Prius was accelerating uncontrollably and he was unable to turn off the vehicle or shift into neutral. The driver reportedly traveled at speeds over 90 miles per hour while covering approximately 30 miles, according to new details.

....

Sikes also told reporters that he had visited Toyota of El Cajon – a nearby dealership – but was told his vehicle was not included in the recent recalls and no services were performed.

The latest victim wasn’t so lucky, though, slamming her out of control 2005 Prius into a stone wall.

According to the latest reports, a 56-year old woman experienced sudden unintended acceleration in her 2005 Toyota Prius when she was exiting a drive in Harrison, New York on Tuesday. Her Prius “shot” across the street, plowing into a stone wall. The woman was injured and taken to a local hospital, but her injuries were reportedly non-life threatening.

Police are still investigating the incident, but it doesn’t appear as though faulty floor mats are to blame – the 2005 Prius in question had received its recall service, with the floor mats still zip-tied to the front seat when police arrived. No word on what might have caused the Prius to accelerate wildly.
