How was Infamous Second Son? I was interested in before it came out but didn't really pay attention when it released. Now that I've got a PS4 I'm curious and it's only $26 now.

Pretty looking, decent combat, but totally soulless mission design and side activities suck.  Story is eh, whatever.  There's better games to play but as a Seattle person it's probably neat seeing digital Seattle in pretty graphics.

I'm really curious how much of the city is in the game. One of the biggest reasons I want to play it.

Aside from being an incredible game, Shadowrun on the Genesis was awesome for being set in King and Pierce County.

From what I gathered it's a fake Seattle that's a made up map with some recognizable local landmarks and shops as opposed to a digital recreation of the city like GTA.  Was kind of bummed about it because I like exploring digital cities in AC and GTA.

That's a bummer, especially since Sucker Punch is based here.

Yeah, in that case, it’s just weird that it’s not a closer analog to actual-Seattle.

I'm trying to work on my backlog and Suikoden 2 feels kinda....plain?  It's not bad, it's just very vanilla.  I can't see why it get all the high esteem because in my hour of playing it, although I'm sure it picks up later.

I'll probably end up putting it on the back burner and playing some other stuff.

It's pretty slow to start but once it gets going it REALLY gets going... at least give it up to the point where you get your castle.

I think I'm kinda burnt out on RPGs in general.  I've played 3 long games in a row (SMT4, EO4 and POE) and probably need to take a break.

I'll get back to it in the future.

It's one of the greatest things ever in gaming.  If the quality of the sprite animation isn't blowing you away from the very first five minutes, I'd recommending taking a break from rpgs and coming back later.  The animation quality, the non-loading, the quick speed of the battles; it's perfection from the start.

ESA also says that exceptions to Section 1201’s blanket ban will send a message that “hacking...is lawful.”

:comeon

All this blanket ban does is hurt legitimate uses of "hacking" to preserve games that nobody but a small handful of people actually cares about anymore.

RAWK.

I feel the oldness flowing within you.

I’m feeling similar about the PS4 interface, largely because it’s dragging standard PC multitasking into console territory.

PS4: “Want five different things right now? No problem! Store, game, XMB, another game! Have at!”

Me: “WHERE AM I?”

Also had fun in this new world of current-generation gaming where I had everything set up to go, and COULD NOT join my friends’ GTA Online game no matter what variation we tried. It turns out that letting the PS4 update itself and go do its own thing is not an automatic win; I had to completely delete all information from its initial install, and then reinstall it all over again. It’s a 5GB install, so this is time consuming. Anyone on a metered internet connection will be pissed. Works fine now.

After 16 years I'm tired of Pokemon.
I tried replaying White and White 2 nope. Y - nope again. I was able to finish OR, but that was just nostalgia helping me ride along.

I think I just long for the days of GSC/RSE again. Busting out the link cables - yeaaah buddy

but god I was unironically enjoying this game at first but it turns into FEDEX the videogame. CH needs to learn that a jRPG doesn't need to be 50+ hours for the sake of being long

I wouldn't have a problem with the :uguu if they made a decent game out of it, but everything I've played/seen of Idea Factory/Compile Heart games tells me they are extremely grindy, overly long fetch-quest ridden poop.

It's probably because I've been playing too much love live so I was lowkey excited about Omega Quintet.
But it seems like even with this music idoll/jrpg hybrid, CH still hasn't learned their lesson in terms not to pad out games just so you can have a long jRPG.
I personally wouldn't recommended OQ at full price unless you are a diehard CH fan. Retail release is like in two weeks I think?

I really don't know what they were thinking with the look of the Monkey Island 1 remake, especially the characters. Just looks awful and cheap.

The Monkey Island 2 remake looks way better, though.
