Tron Bonne being available on PSN means Legends 1 and 2 finally maybe have a shot. I figured the main issue was the voice acting for Tiesel Bonne's voice actor, but that seems to not be the case (anymore?).

legends is short and fun but clearly low-budget. there's one town and an interconnected tunnel system below it. still absolutely worth playing.

2 is a legit great game, with loads of content and challenge. it's fucking awesome and one of my favorite ps1 games.

tron bonne is a collection of minigame that honestly aren't that good but it gets by on corny weeaboo charm(if you're into that sort of thing)

Fuckin' AMD botched the Project CARS PC launch as the driver used was from last October, they never gave the devs notice they were rolling back features PCARS uses for the GTA V driver. So even on a 290X, the game runs worse than the xbone version even when set at 900P at the same settings the xbone version uses. Then AMD blamed the devs. Then the devs blamed AMD. And I'm stuck with a game I can't play till AMD releases proper drivers.

Meanwhile, Nvidia has no issues except housefires. #MasterRaceProblems

I don't really understand these Megaman fans/MN9 backers.

this trailer is being used as an example of how bad the game looks. What

that looks pretty fucking fun to me. Gameplay looks very fast paced, there seems to be a ton of variety in the environments and the art style is very stylized and colorful. It also sounds like the game is going to have quite a bit of content.

I wanna try the souls game but I really don't know where to start.

I have Demon Souls that I got from JP PS+
Dark Souls someone gifted to me on Steam
and I have enough PSN dinero for either DSII or Bloodborne.

I heard DSII is the most forgiving to new comers but at the same time it's also the worse thing to come out of From for a lot of people. Or are those people just being elitist snobs?

DS2 is less good than the rest to a lot of people, myself included, but less good than either game that came before it is still pretty good.

I'd play em in proper release order. They all kind of build up on each other, and its cool to see the lessons From learned from making the last game integrated into the next one.

Fire Pro deserves that spot. Didn't play Returns much but played the heck out of Six Man Scramble back in the day. Best wrestling game ever.

Some interesting (odd?) choices there like Strania, which seemed like C-jank budget Japan game even higher than DMC3 SE (aka, the best 3d action game ever imo). But guess you really liked it.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of Strania. It's a nice change of pace from the usual danmaku games that dominate the genre, and the weapon system adds a fun layer of strategy to the game. Plus it has impressive production values - G.rev did great visual work on Gradius V and Ikaruga, and Strania easily tops them imo. The only problem I have with the game is that the scoring system is incredibly lopsided. The end bonus you get for fully ranking up each weapon makes the difference between mid-level play and world record-tier play only like, 1-2 million points. I'd recommend checking out some good replays, it might look more fun (This one's mine. The WR holder has some of his videos on nico nico if you want to dig for them.)

Over the last couple of years, the event organizers of StunFest have been flying Japanese superplayers out to put on a live exhibition of the shmups they're godly at (eg. Ketsui, Dodonpachi, Dodonpachi Saidaioujou, Mushihimesama Futari, Battle Garegga, Ikaruga, etc). They couldn't get anybody from Japan this year, but they did bring some western players over. This is what they'll be playing starting tomorrow, if anyone wants to check it out (French time, GMT+2):

Friday 11h30-12h30 : Akai Katana (Y'om!) , 16h-16h30 : Dangun Feveron (Jaimers!)

Wow the Xbone interface is a confusing peace of boxes shit. This is complete trash and it makes no sense trying to find out how to do anything.

And Christ does it take long to install anything and everything has fucking huge as patches. Whats worse is nothing wants to start without being updated and the download speeds here are garbage. If you got this thing for Christmas, you'd be fucked for playing on X-mas day.
