Vic Ireland is bringing over Class of Heroes 3 and Summon Night 5 on PSP.

As with our prior PSP release, a Physical+Digital bundle is planned. Fans will receive a PSN code for a free download for each Physical version purchased. This will allow Vita players who don’t have a UMD drive the means to enjoy the game as well, and collectors to play the game without opening the physical package. However, we’re going to make that decision really hard as we have even more collector will-breaking secrets planned for this set’s packaging.

After licensing the game, we began translation of text and compiled our usual "wish list" of changes. The biggest change we made was to copy a portion of the great animation from the ending of the game to a completely new opening at the front of the game. The original opening was simply a long string of gameplay footage that didn't get us too excited about the game. The new opening features an all-new CG-rendered Alundra logo and exciting new music. We hope it pumps you up about what to expect in the game. There were a host of other minor changes made to the game to improve playability and limit user frustration. The status menu was made accessible from the L2 and R2 buttons, instead of just START. We also adjusted the timing of the buttons that appear and disappear in Elene's dream to give the player more time to make the jumps required. Monster difficulties were also rebalanced, generally to make a few of the bosses easier to kill. However, bosses were also made more dangerous in that if they managed to hit Alundra, their blows were much more lethal. This lessened some of the boredom of the later bosses, where they really weren't much challenge to fight, but took forever to kill. We also rewrote the closing song with all-new lyrics that we felt more closely reflected the tone of the game.

Just says that bosses were easier to kill, but if they hit you, you'll die quicker. What's wrong here?

I don't remember the details, but a lot of people were bitching that the American version was made harder because the enemies took a lot longer to kill.  Something like that.  Interesting that the Victor Ireland quote seems to be the opposite of it.

lunar 2 remake had fucked up boss changes. they had way more hp so they take forever to kill now. and of course the fucked up silhouette mirage. the changes demi mentioned for alundra are the only ones I ever heard of. don't remember any problems with enemy difficulty.

I posted about selling mine a few pages back, partially due to changes in furniture around the house. I've been procrastinating on taking the pictures I promised some people cause the games are in boxes now due to having to change said furniture a few weeks ago + getting slammed with class assignments.

I got rid of a lot of mine a few years back, and there's still some more I plan on getting rid of. like you I felt there was no reason to hold on to a game unless it was something I planned on replaying at some point. also idc if emulation isn't 100% spot-on; if I can dl it and play it without any major flaws then I'm gonna. beats the shit out of keeping space for old consoles and having to set them up again and all that bullshit. fuck a "pure" experience when I can save anywhere, have higher resolutions, and faster loading times.

only stuff I'm keeping now is newer games that will increase in value and sentimental stuff like my Sega CD Lunars and my boxed copies of Doom games.

Yeah I kinda hit that point. I know that I'm never gonna get around to playing some of these and all they're doing is taking up space/money I could be using to get other stuff I want to use /now/.

Most of my problems are me being out of practice but after 3 starring the Mushroom and Shell cups on 150cc, I've noticed that now I can get through the first 3 races in a cup easy enough, then on the final race the CPU decides to ramp up the fuckery.

I'll try this again tomorrow

Worth watching.
Yeah it was a good video. I really enjoy the CoD single players to the point that I really haven't touched the mo of any of them since say Blopa 1. They really can just be enjoyable thrill rides and good representation of action military escapism. Though what drew me to first two games was the "grounded" and detailed experince. They really felt like actual battlefields, everything is so well realized in the IW games.

I'd say my favorite it MW if only because of the American levels. Hell, they did such a better job capturing the feeling of war in the homeland than Homefront did. I also think MW2 look good till this day.

The first MW didn't have any levels in the US.  I think only the second and third one had you fighting inside of a western country. There were levels that showed monuments being destroyed but the whole time you are this bullet-dodging warrior fighting for what is good and it felt like some looney tunes shit with predator strikes raining down on Russians in fast food parking lots.

BO and AW tried to make the purpose of your missions ambiguous with the western military industrial complex and proxy wars in poor countries being shady as hell. Using technology that is decades ahead of your enemy to support western interests in the region.

(Image removed from quote.)

The ESRB synopsis on a number of titles are fucking hilarious. FFXIV for instance:

Quote
Dialogue contains suggestive references; for example, 'The netmaster's probably up in his office polishing the mast just thinking about her,' 'stick yer manhood in the forge,' and 'You cheating little whore!' Several characters are referred to as drunk or drunken, while others sometimes talk about wine, rum, and grog. The word 'sh*t' can be heard in the dialogue.

Listen to all kinds of weird ass gaming podcasts.
Heard this smallish D&D podcast a while back where they were live roleplaying. 4 dudes and a girl, one of the dudes was married to her.
Most of the session was basically one unmarried dude hitting on the girl's character with an awkward silence passing every time broken by the husband laughing about it.

Some real cuck shit. I haven't heard anything nearly as bad since.

I beat Uncharted 2 last night.

The game was doing alright right up until the end when it just went to shit. It was just so bad; supernatural bullshit, obnoxious bullet-sponge enemies coming out of the woodwork, and a terrible final boss fight capped with a hilariously bad "we're not so different" monologue from a war criminal. Shame, the game did a good job keeping up the quality level only to implode within sight of the finish line.

Definitely worth the $2.50 and mostly a solid title but soooooo overhyped.
