2022 is the year covid delayed projects all miss (outside Elden Ring).
Too early to show a lot of 2023 stuff because gamers throw a downgrade shitfest now if the footage isn't release date quality on announcement. Actually scratch that, it's 2022 and gamers jerks on the internet throw a shitfest about every fucking thing in the universe and the internet was a mistake.

So basically nothing but a few indies.

If Hollow Knight Silksong gets a release date announcement for 2022 in tomorrow's conference that'll be good enough for me.

I just looked at the release schedule and aside from Modern Warfare 2 it's pretty much bone dry in the usual busy period (and that's before taking into account games are gonna slip, no way that Forspoken drops in October for example).

Yeah, 2022 sucks.

For me after Horizon 2/Elden ring for the rest of the year in terms of NEW games (so not counting Live-A-Live remake or TLOU1 remake), for my tastes there's like Xenoblade 3 which I'm kind of meh on after XB2, and in Japan there's Trails of the Black II which I'm also kind of meh on after the first, and then maybe GoW Ragnorak if it actually makes this year.

There's a lot of smaller stuff like The Quarry which just released but I still haven't played the 2nd and 3rd Dark Pictures games, so can wait for a cheap sale.

I guess Bayonetta 3 might come out but also kind of meh on that after Bayonetta 2 and Platinum's output lately. Also I'm guessing Dragon Quest 3 HD ain't making 2023 given the silence on it still.


All the big games I actually am interested in because they aren't following meh previous games, are 2023. Hell DQXII might even make 2023.

I mainly just wanted FF16 this year, but oh well.

Pretty disappointed Pentiment is the secret Josh Sawyer game in the works since Pillars II.

I really like Sawyer's work, but this looks so budget and I think the art style is real ugly. Plus looks more of a PnC adventure game than an rpg.

Hopefully it's good, but these years been looking forward to his next big New Vegas/Pillars-ish project and this is it :/

Never been much of a Harry Potter fan, also I don't think it will launch this year.

Gotham Knights looks pretty good to me, I think they have confidence in it because they've shown gameplay for so long. The story stuff has had a minimal focus compared to how a lot of these go even though Warner liked the premise so much they stole it for a TV show they're giving the same title. Compare to Rocksteady's Suicide Squad thing where we don't know anything about the gameplay and all that's been shown about the premise was a "story" prerendered trailer that was just people making bad quips.

I'm willing to bet more on it because WB Montreal somehow impossibly nailed the story and presentation in Arkham Origins even though everything about that game should have been a failure like the multiplayer. Game also has the best boss encounters of the series.
