Oh, I thought you were wondering why HE hated multiplayer games. I'm hating on him because he sounds like a pretentious tool. Multiplayer games are awesome to throw down with for a while and have some fun, some people play them religiously [like with MMOs] and that can become a massive time/money sink, but he paints with a broad brush and pretends that all multiplayer games are the same blackhole and should be avoided at all costs.

And singeplayer games are every bit a waste of time and money as [most] multiplayer games are. So pick your poison.

I am all for this trend.  I don't think it is that much difference from releasing HD versions of movies on blu-ray or whatever.

speaking about that, did anyone see that the God of War Collection is on PSN? the brilliant idea they had is to only let playstation plus members buy the games separately.  If you're not a member, you must buy both (I think each is $15, both are $30).

The one time I met Mielke, I thought he was one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet and he has a lot of passion about games.  Everyone has their own weird tastes when it comes to games so even though I disagree with a lot of the stuff he writes, I don't think any less of him.
