There is a specific way on how you get new games on Gamefly. I've only not gotten a new title one time (enslaved) when I followed this procedure which is a pretty good ratio. You have to clear out your queue and have an available slot by Friday for a game that comes out on Tuesday.

I then always get that game. Generally on a Wednesday. In rare cases I even get it on that Tuesday.

For some reason, I had much more trouble getting the lower tier games (Sonic racing, The Saboteur) than I did with the new popular releases.  Maybe because Gamefly has more copies of those games to go around.

Tokido cleaning up at the socal regionals. Guy got 1st in BlazBlue, 1st in 3rd strike, did great in HDR and Tekken, and got 3rd in SSF4. He probably would have got 1st in SSF4 if he beat Daigo in the loser's finals, but he dropped a game-winning combo and got ultra'd for the loss. He must be salty as hell.

Ok, I'm kind of late to this but I just discovered that Outrun XBLA/PSN/Steam/etc... has been pulled on everything except XBLA because of Sega losing the Ferrari license and in a year the XBLA will be pulled as well and the game will cease to exist anymore.

WTF.  This is one of those situations where downloadable game models FAILS.  Outrun Online is an AWESOME GAME.  It's one of my top5 XBLA titles.  Never being able to play it again after it drops from XBLA next year is really depressing.  I mean sure I can bust out my Xbox1 Outrun 2, but that requires hooking up the old xbox and is a pain in the ass.  Or get the actual disc based PC version.  Hmmmm, may have to do that next year.

You should be able to redownload the game if your 360 dies or whatever.

We need Sega or MS to clear this up. I remember people at GAF (isamu and a few other racer fans) saying that you'll be able to redownload it as long as you have the license, but I'd be happier hearing something officially.

So people ask me what console to buy to watch movies on, and sucks for MS, but I tell them to get a PS3. I can't believe you still have to be a gold member to use netflix on the 360.

Yeah, I wanted to watch something on netflix streaming the other day and I realized even though I have like a dozen electronic devices, I can't good decent quality netflix streaming.

PS3 - region locked to only US/Canada hardware; my PS3 is JPN
X360 - you have to be gold member; I finally bailed on Xbox live last year when I realized I'd paid like $300-400 for it over the years and it's a fucking ripoff since I don't even play online games

PC  - the MS Silverlight streaming is shit.  Constant v-sync tearing makes it damn unwatchable and apparently there's no fix!

Not surprising. Daytime levels of Unleashed were good. Now that they're improving on that formula and making an entire game out of them, we'll start getting more good Sonic games.

now when I ask people how was Sonic 4 they pretend it doesn't exist and start hyping Sonic Colors.


Sonic fans are insane.  After Unleashed I promised myself I would go another 10 years before getting tricked and playing a Sonic game again.  THEY ARE NOT GOOD.  PEOPLE NEED TO STOP BUYING THEM.  I think the only thing good that will come out of Sega's eventual bankruptcy will be the end of Sonic.

But at least DKC looks like it's aimed at people over 5.  I don't think Kirby is necessarily bad, it's just not for anyone whose past puberty.

But who am I kidding?  I'll never play it.  I still haven't played Other M or Arc Rise Fantasia.  If a game is on Wii then I'm probably never going to play it.  For some reason I just don't want to turn the system on if I feel like playing a game when I have all these better alternatives.  Only Wii game I will probably play before Wii2 is Last Story since it's Sakuguchi and I like the guy.

My local gamestop had reburished units for $99. Which is what I wanted. I didn't want to buy one off the internet where I was screwed if it was modded or just fucked up in general and then had no recourse.

Depending on what Bleach fighting series they're talking about, it could be good.  The treasure one on wii is supposed to be good.  The billions on the PSP aren't bad.  The Gamecube one is awful.  The DS games, also by treasure, are great.

I played Bleach Heat the Soul 4 I think it was. Game's not awful or anything, but it's not really good either - even for a Bleach fan. Of course, they are up to like Heat the Soul 8 by now so it's probably improved since then. Bleach fans should just play the DS games because they're like 5x better.

That being said, if the PS3 game has good graphics, and if it's released in the US, I'll get it.

Actually, if this new PS3 game is part of the Bleach Soul Carnival line, it could be pretty good. But I guess it won't be since he said "fighting series", and that's the HtS games. Oh well.
