I guess I was wrong. There is Conquest Domination, which is actually fun. But I don't see it on the server list.

Whatever now I'm playing Zill'Oll and Sakura Wars V which is kind of dumb.

Finished the Hard Reset expansion

it's pretty much more of the same. there's some new enemy types and you go to new locations. so it's not all dark dystopian cities this time around, you're in run-down ruins with foliage around and most of the game takes place during the day/dusk/morning

it's fun.

It's the only online game I've been able to get into, so I have nothing else to play. Don't like CoD online. The New Ghost Recon was terrible. Starhawk is pretty terrible imo. Halo Reach just wasn't good thanks to the powers. There's just no really interesting online games for me so I'm stuck with BF3.

It's not as thoughtful as DayZ. You start out in one spot, there is an end goal, but it's mostly about survival. The premise is that you're an escaped prisoner and must leave the island, which is patrolled by a bunch of enemies. You have to find food, guns, ammo, fuel, and stuff to make it through. Ultimately you need to get enough fuel to a boat and know the direction to steer it away from the island. But getting to that point can be difficult since you're so weak. Sometimes you'll run across a vehicle and can decide to refuel it to potentially help you move about faster, or siphon what's in the tank.

There's no multiplayer in JC2 vanilla, no. The mod is in beta right now and is only available every other weekend. There has only been vehicle combat thus far, so adding on-foot weapons is a big change. People are gonna dick each other over even worse now, gonna be so cool.

The nonsense about The Last Guardian is getting kind of silly at this point. Yes, SCEA's trademark lapsed. SCEA's trademark for Sorcery also lapsed. As did their trademark for Until Dawn. SCEA would later re-apply and get both of them. Sorcery came out (though no one noticed) and Until Dawn's probably going to be announced today. SCEA's probably going to re-apply for TLG, and the game will come out ... in 2017.

In the case of Sorcery the game did go completely dark for almost 2 years. We saw it at E3 2010 when it was announced, and nothing until earlier this year when it finally came out. Its re-unveil had a new art style, and made the game look incredibly generic. But as you mention, no one cares about Move games ... which of course makes Until Dawn an interesting thing to produce. I guess Yoshida promised Sony London one non-casual game or something, lol.

I really just don't think TLG has been canned. At this point the game has to be closer to completion than ever before so why not just release it and recoup some of the cost? As well, given how leaky SCE is I'm sure if it was canned we'd find out in a way that wasn't SCEA's trademarks lapsing.
