It looks great, but I fear it's being sent out to die with Forza 5, Gran Turismo 6 and Need for Speed Rivals all coming out in the same timeframe. Hopefully it's a success and it scratches that PGR itch for gamers.

I think Drive Club will be a graphical showcase at least, and I really liked motorstorm so hope this will have that cool kind of arcade play

I think the lead programmer of Drive Club was the lead programmer on Project Gotham Racing 4, and they said it would be more PGR-ish, so yeah, that's one point in Evolution's favor.

This year's Need for Speed is supposed to combine the cops-versus-racers mentality of Hot Pursuit 2010 with a persistently online open world like Test Drive Unlimited, and Ferrari is back, so there's that. PS4 and Xbox One versions of the new NFS are confirmed, and it's running off of Frostbite 3.

Next-gen arcade racers are going to be plentiful, that's for sure.

I'm really only excited for Titanfall because I know my irl gaming friends are going to go apeshit for it. All this next-gen stuff, however, is sleep-inducing. Between my iPhone and PC, I have all the gaming I need.

it's very repetitive and there aren't really any surprises, games-wise. but this year is pretty dang fun. The past few E3s have been shit.

Yeah. This morning, Atlus USA announced that Etrian Odyssey Spinoff/remake for this fall in America. Not even out in Japan yet

That's not snaking in my book... snaking is being able to chain drift boosts together in ridiculous scenarios, such as doing a straight... he only does them drifting around corners and gets a lot of boosts from stunt boosts. Three page+ thread on GAF. It'll probably balloon to 15+ or something. I wonder how many people actually watched the video?

My deep dark secret is that I've always wanted to play an big adventure big scale immersive mmorpg, which is why I love FFXII & Xenoblade. I gave FFXI a try a few years ago for a day and it was really boring in the first few levels solo; just punching slimes and stuff with a slow combat system and ugly gfx. XIV has great graphics and the combat looks more exciting. I'm really getting tempted :\

PSN has a "Download the trailer to get in the beta" ad. I downloaded the trailer, hopefully i'll be in the beta tomorrow. Felt a lot like wow, but prettier, in beta 2. but i didn't put serious effort into it or anything.

ive been tempted to fuck around in XI before, but then i remember that it still has a monthly fee and i forget about it again. i just cant justify the high price of entry (it was still $40 on steam iirc) plus monthly payments. no game is worth that much money.

So since the Uncharted 3 download is like 40gigs and I only have a 60gig PS3... I can't play it?

When I grabbed it off the web store the download queue had different downloads, one was "Single Player Experience" but when I download that and install it just goes into "Game Data Utility" and not something I can launch. Fucking lame.

I think you need to download the multiplayer file, single player file, and 2D cutscenes.
