Holy shit I've been playing PS2 and Dolphin emu for like a week O_o. Never thought my laptop would be able to handle any of it

(i7 @ 2.20ghz and gt540m with 8gb ram )

But most games run perfectly especially KH2 which I'd never played and now upressed it looks amazing.

Also playing Mario Galaxy 2, never played that one and it runs like a dream on 2x native with vsync.

hnngggg

Ive died and gone to heaven

The best thing is the WiiU emulator called CEMU which let me run and play Super Mario Maker O_o my god this shit is amazing. You can just build maps with the mouse, probably better then on that gamepad.

it's kinda crazy all the platforms that were available in late 1995 and still receiving titles (even if garbage): PS1, Saturn, 3DO, PC, Jaguar, Virtual Boy, 32X, NeoGeo/NeoGeo CD, CD-i, SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, Game Boy, Mac

I've got a box full of old magazines. I like to randomly pull one out and go over articles and reviews.
I've got a number of them (mainly GI and the last days of EGM) that are more recent mostly because I look through them when they come and put them in a box or on a bookshelf that sometimes I'll look through but they aren't anywhere near this old, at my parents house is a box of old random ones from when I was younger though with covers talking about the hot new MEGA MAN THREE AND NES NINJA TURTLES, FIRST PICTURES OF SUPER MARIO 3, REAL PHOTOS OF SUPER NINTENDO TITLES

I liked looking at the last one a couple years ago because they're like blurry 1990 consumer quality camera shots off a TV from probably Space World and only in retrospect can you really identify them as like Pilotwings and Actraiser or whatever. The Mario "4" ones are the dude putting the camera up close so Mario takes up like half the shot so you can even see what the hell it is.

Also the early Gamefan's where every GAME IS THE HOTTEST GAME EVER AND LOOK AT THOSE LINE SCROLLS LINE SCROLLS LINE SCROLLS LINE SCROLLS. And the made-up rumors about stuff. :lawd

Heh, I remember filling out some mail-in cards in other mags (maybe Ultra Game Players) for free Next Generation issues, one of the ones I got was that Tomb Raider one. I was never a big fan of NG due to their hatred of 2D games in favor of early 3D games which in hindsight held up as well as milk left out for years. Though there was one article where dance music producers were talking about game influence on their music, I think Darren Emerson (back when he still was with Underworld) was interviewed.

Gamefan was my favorite back in the day. Lots of obscure imports, massive amounts of hyperbole, prose written while on an extended acid trip, and :drool screen captures from RGB monitors :drool

It was a major deal at the time. I even had that issue. PC at the times were generations ahead of console gaming and the possibility of having one of the biggest title of the era on a console was huge.
