I always eat my oatmeal with something else, to give it some flavor. Now today I was out of that something else (nutella choco

) and was faced with a big problem. I didn't feel like just eating oatmeal so I started thinking like a mad scientist. I looked in the fridge and saw a bottle of lemon juice, I added some to my oatmeal and milk...but it was too much and tasted too sour like the milk had gone wrong...then I added some sugar and it was just the right mix of flavors.

Try it! It's good! I will be eating more of this as it's healthier than adding nutella.

Oatmeal can be made yummy by boiling raisins before putting in the oats. This makes the raisins plump and tender.

Oatmeal makes my stomach feel like it's stuffed full of marbles. I think it may have been contributing to some of my health scares last month after I introduced it back into my diet for the first time in ~5 years.

I don't mind the taste of oatmeal. Maybe my parents just make it differently. I know they put vanilla and nutmeg in it. I'm not sure what else.

Oatmeal has always been one of those things most people enjoy, but I could never stomach. I've tried too, due to its purported health benefits, but its just too gummy for my taste. I did love Cream of Wheat as a kid.

My aunt gave my wife a thing of cream of wheat a couple months back. I was so excited and kept going on and on about how awesome it tasted when I was little. I made a bowl for my wife and I. Then I felt like such a douche when I realized it tasted like shit.

Yeah. There's tons of childhood foods that I loved that I can't stand anymore and vice versa.

For example, generic canned tuna=

The imported Italian stuff is great. But too many tuna salad sandwiches as a kid and as a college poor soured me on that stuff.

During Hurrican Ike in 2008, the government was giving out ration boxes of food and they had chef boyardee shit inside. I was all excited because I hadn't eaten it in years. *gag*

I swear to god, Nikki lives on this shit. We have cans and cans of it in the house. She's a fucking 24 year old woman with a child.

And to top it off, she hates almost all 'real' food. No vegetables other than corn or potatoes, no fish, no shellfish (due to allergies), no duck, no rabbit.... I want to kill myself.
