The Academy Awards are a huge circle jerk, this is fairly well known.

I've never seen it this bad though....or maybe I have and I just wasn't paying attention. They're just motherfucking actors, not astronauts. Crazy adulation going on here.

It was kinda cool when they did it last year, partially because it was the first time they did and partially because the acting performances last year were, actually you know, worth paying homage to by and large.

License to Kill is pretty awesome too. This is mostly do to the fact that the first time I saw it was when I had a super high fever as a kid. I watched this and Romancing the stone in the same night and kept fading in and out the whole time. Anyways their stories got a bit mixed up for me and now when ever I watch Romancing the stone I feel like Michael Douglas gets eaten by a shark at the end and when this doesn't happen something feels terribly wrong.
