Is it normal that when you hit start during the end credit roll it takes you to the map menu and when you exit out of the map menu you are stuck at a black screen?

It's really sad to hear all this negative feedback on this game made by ex-RTW staff, and again for the other RTQ game, APB.

I refuse to believe that the original Crackdown is just a fluke, but I am willing to believe that it may be a disaster to split the team up, putting part of them on a game with no ship date and a vague, now-denied mission statement ("It's GTA but an MMO!") and the other part of the team on a project with a short development window, a four year old toolset, pipeline, and tech.

The core of the game is fine, it's just that nothing seems improved.

edit: I suppose that's stating the obvious. But even the few new things I've come across have pretty much sucked. Wing suit? Good idea, but the execution isn't hot.

I hate to say it, but I know I'll pick this up -- I'm just going to wait until it's discounted.

The ending was stunningly lazy. Really, after 3-4 hours the whole game is, but the ending was WOW.

I am glad I know 3 people with this game. That is the only reason to play it.

The game says I am missing 1 Agility orb in hope springs, but I have combed over this map and I have every one

http://achievementhunter.com/games/guides/crackdown2/hopespringssouth.php

Even as far as c/ping it into MS paint and marking each one off individually. So I guess that quest is over.

edit - hua hua hua hua, thank you helicopter. One was behind a hidden orb on that map

It is so fucking stupid that you can only do Breaches at night, and that they unlock in a linear fashion. Is there any way to switch the time of day?

leave it sitting while you do something else?

I didn't bother with the breaches.  Did like 10 of them.  They're so boring.  Just enemy spam for 3-5 mins.

In retrospect, it was probably a bad idea to hand Crackdown 2 off to Ruffian Games.

Also in retrospect, Realtime Worlds should have scrapped APB and just done Crackdown 2 instead.

After seeing APB, I'd rather have Crackdown 1.5 than a really shitty game.

The implication in your post is that Realtime Worlds couldn't have down Crackdown 1.5 just as easily as Ruffian Games.

APB is one of the biggest pieces of shit Ive played this generation

Which is why Realtime Worlds should have dumped it a long time ago.

Damn, I didn't know it was released. I totally forgot about the game. I think I was hyped over it a few years ago...

So it turned out to be shit? Oh well...

Beat it, got the 500 agility orbs, gathered up a few other easy achievements and I think I've had it with this game. I think I actually stuck with it longer than I thought I would in the end. But it was definitely one of the biggest let-downs for me this gen.

I absolutely loathe this game. This is the biggest piece of shit since Alpha Protocol. Oh wait that was just a couple months ago.

Nobody here plays old games, we rape them and move on. Crackdown 1 poops on this game though from miles up.

I played the demo and had fun with it. Do you dudes still play the old Crackdown? Maybe I should just get that instead.
I played the demo for 2, and honestly it felt like a slummy version of the first game. 1 is really good and holds up pretty well. Pure sandbox though so don't expect stories or 15 minute cutscenes.
