RX tv was ok.

The Rahxephon movie by Kyoda, who then went and did Eureka Seven, was awesome.  It remade the plot of RX into a much better one and compacted it all into 90 mins.  The way he weaved the original footage together to tell a new tale worked very, very well.  The ending was great too.  RX movie = him turning RX into Alice in Wonderland.  Though I don't think the film can be fully appreciated without having seen the TV series first, so you see what he did with it.

Too bad he failed horribly trying to do the same thing with the E7 movie.  Soooo bad.  Turning E7 into Peter Pan did not work at all.  And watching Hap and Stoner try to rape Eureka was wtf

Stop being a contrarian just for the sake of it, himuhimu.  RahXephon had a lot of nice things going for it, but it turns to shit in the last few episodes.  It's not even worthy of licking clean Eva's bootheel.

Personally it's my favorite tv show of all time.  Heck, I even subbed the last 60% of it.  I'd give it an 11/10.

Note, they lost their budget after the first half, so the show goes from AMAZING animation to ...kind of budget.  Though there are still some killer animation segments in the 2nd half.

Still, the music, directing, characters, story, art are all incredible.  The show grabs you from the first ep and never lets go.  When the show first aired I expected some dumb kids show about surfing robots, but then I watched ep1 and was blown away.  It was like a TV show done with the energy and top-notch directing of FLCL.

wat.  Death/Rebirth/EoE = good stuff
tv end is good when you understand it's concurrent with the events of EoE from the inside of shinji's mind because they didn't have the budget to show what was actually happening.

The show has one of the most epic plots of any show in the last 20 years.  The worldview is huge and tons of stuff happens.  There are like three dozen characters and all sorts of subplots running through it.  It's also full of mystery's that you'll want to make theories on until the show explains them.

The show has everything.  Heavy drama, hilarious comedy, feel good action, sick to your stomach fucked up stuff, AMAZING SCENES.  The characters are sooooooo good.  If you like show like Planetes with a big cast of well developed, non-orthodox members, that's basically E7.

If you like robots, the robot designs are awesome.

I liked the Eureka 7 series for the most part, but the movie was absolutely unbearable.  I think in general Bones is great at starting a series and then the charm is replaced by melodrama and ridiculously complex for the sake of complex stories.

I don't know how many people saw Jyu oh sei, but the first couple episodes of that show were fantastic, then it took a nose dive at the end; it was a short series too.  I felt the same way about the original FMA, Darker than Black, and others.  Xam'd was actually pretty consistent in that it was also about dat melodrama the entire time, but it was never as heavy or inconsistent as the other series mentioned.

also, Heroman is trash, just pure pandering trash.  I've watched three episodes too many.  I feel my brain melting every time this tree using crutches does anything.  It stinks.

Karas the Revalation was nice. Has a very violent scene in the middle with people getting chewed and eaten.

Half way through Busou Renkin, nice so far.

Le Chevalier D'Eon was interesting. Think it is the first anime I've seen where

spoiler (click to show/hide)
the majority of the main and supporting characters died. One of the main characters gets guillotined at the end.I'd say all together it's sad end. :/

K-On is uguu. Working is sorta like K-On animation wise and is kinda uguu. Arakawa is interesting. Senko is alright. KissXSis is non-blood related incest, so it's lame. And don't listen to swaggaz, Heroman is good unless you hate America and want the terrorist to win. It is bit dull but in a different sort, certainly not bad dull.

Anybody else watching Angel Beats? I'm pretty surprised by the fact that it's actually pretty good. It's kind of Haruhi-esque, but it's got a decent mix of humor, drama, and action wrapped in science fiction. The first episode was okay, second half was way better than the first, and the second episode was even better. I wish they wouldn't rely so much on humor and goofy sound effects [so far that's an issue in the first half of each episode], but that's pretty much the only thing I can complain about right now.

I went from rewatching the essential Gundam UC (MSG, Zeta, CCA) to the side stuff and now I'm starting up the alternate universe ones.  My "goal" has become just watching all Gundam shows again.  Right now I'm on Turn-A because it was my favorite alternate universe series and so far it is still great.  I'm curious about how I'll feel about Victory Gundam since I don't remember liking it much in the past, but I've come to appreciate F91, so why not that.

Man, this has probably been the first really good anime series in a year or two. Several really good series and a few more that are at least above average, a definite improvement on all accounts.

Senkou no Night Raid
Arakawa Under the Bridge
House of Five Leaves
Angel Beats
Rainbow

Even Working is a pretty decent show, despite being really animu.

If you can get over the whole "Japanese agents in China during the 30's" then it's actually pretty good, though, admittedly, that is a pretty big hurdle. I like the second episode more than the first, I think, as it focuses a bit more on drama than lots of cool action scenes and special powers. I think it's worth giving a shot.

Some BD-Live content has come (and some has gone, apparently) for those who load the English menu...

As of tonight, the "what's new" page says that from 26 Mar - 22 Apr the "opening day stage greetings" were available.

They also added the episode storyboards to page through (46MB; 141 pages, usually with two per page) on 26 Mar, but access to them appears to end on 27 May (well, "available for viewing until ..." are their words).

On 23 April, they added an audio commentary for the episode. Production people mentioned in the description are "Kazuhiro Furuhashi (director), Yasuyuki Muto (script), Shinya Ogura (conceptual consultant), Harutoshi Fukui (story [writer of the Unicorn novels, according to ANN]), Naohiro Ogata (producer)". It's a 146MB download, and currently has no cut-off date.

A teaser says that a cast commentary (Japanese, I presume, but maybe they'll do an English one for our market?) will be part of the next update on 28 May.

Going to look at the Japanese side, it doesn't look like there's anything new in the "Special Content" section. I do see three trailers flagged as "New" in the "Information" section. One is a 32 sec "Break Blade"/"Broken Blade" trailer. There's also one for something on DVD/BD/UMD that's Code Geass-related (music, pictures, and cast and/or crew on stage). The third flagged trailer is for something VOTOMS, runs for only about 20 seconds, and replaced a previous trailer.

Episode 2 of the OVA, "The Red Comet" will be released in Fall. The biggest selling point is of course Unicorn Gundam vs Sinanju. Banagher Links will be fighting in normal suit and Unicorn Gundam will use its Beam Magnum. There will be many MSs and battleships from the U.C. era to see as well.

Some images of Episode 2's storyboard can be seen in this previous posting.

There's also explicit mentioning in the text shown in the image that the OVA will be moving at the pace of 2 releases a year. This is the first time we get to confirm on the timing I believe. With that in mind, Episode 4 will be released some time in the second half of 2011 then.

Has it been confirmed how many OAVs it's going to be in total?  Is it going to be 6?
