Here's what we do.

We excavate the moon. Hollow that sucker out. We send the excess material to Mars so that we can eventually terraform the planet (give it more mass => more gravity, should help with a livable atmosphere). With the moon, we can send our trash there and store it inside. Sort of like a trash pinata.
