I was a bit drunk, but not my usual too drunk. So that was typical stupid younging drunk boasting at best. The wrecked wench part was supposed to be a joke, and it failed. I'm honestly not trying to sound like a badass on here. I tend to be more sarcastic and attempting to be self deprecating when I talk about myself. Looks like I'm not very good at it.

Parents went home, after spending almost two weeks with my family here. Feels a little lonely. It is nice to be at this stage of our lives, together.

The day after they left, I spent a day working on a local farm, and came home with more vegetables than I know what to do with.

Still don't know what I'm going to do for work this year, but I'm feeling pretty good.

So I ended up taking last Thurs off work. Friday the office was closed due to a winter storm, and now I just checked my email and there was a water line break on the office roof and there's severe flooding throughout the building and the office is closed indefinitely (at least until Wed., they're looking for temp. space)

I'm actually holiday'd out and was kinda looking forward to heading back to work. Bleh

Had a really good session with a mental health advisor today. Finally some progress is being made with the misses and her problems. They got her still on the mixed benzos which has really helped I think. She no longer is flying off the handle and seems she has regained some control of her own actions. We are taking it one day at a time. We've been challenged more than a few times with her fathers situation this last week and she's handled things a lot better than before. It also probably helps that we're seeing someone several times a week.

Now I'm gonna try and focus on myself and getting my health back in order. Last year was the beginning of a nightmare and I don't want to let that continue into this year. I'm looking to find a doctor so I can get seen, since I now have medical coverage. I hope they will give me the correct referrals so I can see a nutritionist and a specialist for my hidradenitis suppurativa. The nerve pain caused by the cysts is horrible.

If you are flying in the US from point to point. You have no excuse to not look into private air transportation. Usually the prices are similar to airlines, but with a small added cost due to them using FBO's. It's so worth it to not have to deal with the TSA and people in general.

Most of my flights aren't an issue, it's just hopping from Portland to Oakland.

Hell security at SFO was a breeze but it seems United, and I doubt this is just them, loves to not have people to serve other people. So I was stuck in line waiting for a pet receipt at special services because the kiosks could do everything but that. How incredibly stupid.

a lot of those deals seem to hinge on last-minute ticket buying... no thanks. ticket/hotel is the first thing I pay for when planning a trip.

I arrived super early, still got in pretty quick, but it was ridiculous how many people in front of me had just failed at the kiosks and wanted a bag check, then there was only one guy to help for about 20 machines. I was annoyed at how I could print my boarding pass but not the pet receipt when they didn't even look at my papers for her anyway. Minor hassle compared to what could have gone wrong but it's just kind of brainless.

Also no way I could do last minute considering I had a pet.

well they also never prepared for their employees to be able to work from home so right now we got this massive storm with throughways closed, onramps closed, state of emergencies, driving bans, etc. bunch of people called off.

so whats managements reaction? calling people liars about driving bans, giving people shit for calling off and not being able to work remotely, guilting people into coming in. tons of shady shit.

so now we're all expecting this massive fallout tomorrow from it.

it's shit like this that motivates me to GTFO. as far as I can go.
