So I'm now looking for work for the second time this year. I don't have any leads on anything and well maybe thats a good thing. I kind of want a break so I can figure out what I need to do to get some stability in my life. It's depressing and being the only source of income for our family is a huge strain emotionally and mentally on me. I've been pushed a lot in my life and I never feel I get a chance to do what I want to do with my life. A lot of that has come with the responsibilities I take on and the jobs that I've taken. Some of those decisions have taught me the cruel reality of life and others have taught me to distrust people as a whole. I have to figure it out and pick up the pieces yet again.

I'm a wreck right now. I've no friends to which to speak to or do anything with. And those that are around me are just disappointed in me as if I was the soul reason why I was let go. That passive aggressive hostility is just making things worse for me and It's reminding me of some of the worse days in my life.

I felt kind of shitty about a project partner that I had for the last year and a half in a research lab who was super flakey and left me with doing over 2/3 of the work and all the organization/planning. I never said a bad word about him and tried to cover even so the PI doesn't get worried about if we're meshing or whatever. Then right now I asked if that guy was going to continue the project in his senior year when he comes back after the summer and the PI says that he doesn't think so given how often he was in lab for the last year.

Karma is real and it is good.

i have an irrational, and obnoxious to anyone having to put up with me, EXTREME distaste for filling out forms even when it's super easy. like i have been stalling on filling out these standard employment forms I've filled out many times before and can copy from existing pdfs on my hard disk, to the point where it's endangering the pretty sweet job i finally got after a weeks-long job search

if god forbid i ever try to start a business or something, it would probably make me into a crazy radical libertarian. tho actually the govt stuff is by far not the worst of it.

I help people file unemployment insurance claims pro bono because I know how to do it and even by government form standards they're fuckstupid to fill out.

Also cacs are too lazy and / or stupid to learn how to collect their own welfare. (Besides being racist and sexist, I've learned that the welfare queen monicker also contains a certain enviousness.)

Sometimes I will help proles in offices I work at prepare their tax return (if they ask) for a 6 pack, but that's because I can't legally file a tax return atm and make them say that they prepared the returns themselves on the return. When I can file legally, I'll just charge the e-filing fee(s).

Even though I was the number one sales dude in EMEA a month ago my contract expires soon (end of september) and so far there seems to be no budget to keep me onboard. Motivation to continue selling is pretty damn low now as it doesn't seem to matter how well I do, I can't keep this job.

A couple of my mistakes were just stupid (missing date tricks, not using the old noggin', etc.)

Poor people tax credits and itemized deductions with limitations will always be my Achilles' heel since I pretty much never encounter them with my clientele / they're computed without my knowledge by the tax program.

Got a head's up from the sibling that there's some srs fams drama coming my way, but they're waiting until after the exam to shit on me.
