No particular order, outside of the first two

1. Gain at least 10 pounds, and get my arms bigger
2. Go to the gym more often, IE 3 times a week
3. Read a lot more. I'm almost a third way through Game of Thrones, but I want to start expanding mentally; usually I read fantasy or race relations books. Since you guys here are culturally inclined I'll need suggestions throughout the year
4. Get a job. I want disposable money, and I want to eventually get my own place if I have to move back home
5. Get laid; this is the year I can feel it in my fingers
6. Talk to my grandparents more. They're on their way out, and I'll feel guilty if I don't
7. Be more social. I'll never be extremely social, but I could at least talk in class I guess :/
8. Play more games outside of WoW. With my moneys I'll be able to afford more stuff

When it was time for his appointment he left the baby in the front office and the office manager/hygeinists/etc were all ooohhing and aahhhing over it (it was sleep). Every patient that signed in could see it, and there was even more oooohhhing and aahhhing. Finally some woman and her 10yo kid came in. I forgot why I was sitting at the front desk at the time, but the kid walked up and asked me "is that your baby?" I said no, then the kid looked hard at the baby, then at me, then at the baby again, and said "I don't know why I asked you that because the baby is white and you are black."

His mom and the office manager busted out laughing while I sat there with a poker face.

Yeah, but "usually" is not "always-y" so it'd be a good idea if someone hipped the kid to the idea that it's possible. There was some rocket-scientist talking here about genetics and how half-Japanese kids only ever look asian. A picture was posted of an EB'ers kid who is half-Japanese but has blond hair and blue eyes. My two kids, one looks more asian and the other looks more caucasian. It's a roll of the dice.

Let alone the idea of adoption, where the parents and kid have no blood relation (unless it's in a noir detective novel) but it doesn't make them less of "their kid."

Well like I said, law abiding citizen here. But I will copy and paste this story some guy I know wrote for another site...

I think my favorite drug use time was in the high desert on mushrooms. (out on BLM land near Prineville if you're from Oregon or are familiar.) A friend of mine's family owns a patch of land that's backed against BLM land and consists of a few trailers and a huge fire pit. Three of us made sandwiches with crunchy peanut butter, some raspberry preserves, dave's killer bread () and some dried psilocybe cubensis' which we chopped up. We at them about an hour or so before sunset, and after sitting around for a bit building a good fire we walked out into the juniper trees and desert. We came across all sorts of cool shit out there, lots of tracks including a really cool "animal highway" with deer tracks flanked by coyote and large cat (cougar I think) tracks. We started hearing coyotes and dogs in the area going crazy so we started back towards camp. The sun had come down and it was beginning to get dark and things started to change. Mostly a feeling at first, like everything was being seen for the first time. Everything had an old and long story to it. We could see the town of Bend on the horizon, the lights made it look like it was on fire. By the time we got back to camp it was dark and shit was in full effect. The fire seemed to welcome us back. Thus began one of the most wonderful indescribable nights of drug use I've had.

This was my fourth or fifth time taking shrooms, so I knew what to expect and wanted to have a major break-through so I ate A LOT. I didn't weigh them or anything but between the three of us we ate more than half an ounce. And I ate way more than either of the other two guys, it was their first time. The first thing that really took our interest was the fire and watching the logs. The woodgrain seemed to flow over itself. Most of night it was cloudy but for awhile the skies were clear, and jesus I've never seen so many stars out. Out there you can make out the milky way and my god it just twinkled and shimmered like magic. The stars were breath taking out there in the desert. For awhile we watched what surely had to be ufos (possibly in the direction of the airport lol) that were darting back and forth across the sky. Others that were awesome to look at were the junipers trees and the grasses that grow out there. I felt like I could see the life in them. Shrooms get you close to nature. When I peaked it had the most profound visuals I've had on mushrooms. Generally when I take them the open eye visuals aren't anything that isn't there but just what is there behaving oddly. There were specks on a table and I could vividly see them as ants crawling everywhere. It took some convincing from my almost sober by now friends that they weren't real ants. Closed eyed I saw rainbow tessellated skulls all sorts of geometry, crazy shit in general. Then the other two guys wanted to go to bed so I climbed in my sleeping bag too but I couldn't stop talking and thinking in loops and I felt stuck that way. Finally managed to talk myself out of it but I started having crazy ass audio hallucinations of my friends whispering under the sound of them snoring. For awhile I started to think that I was them and myself at the same time, it was beyond fucked up. Finally I fell asleep.

 I think I started this to be a full trip report but I'm stoned right now and typing all this seems like a chore so there's a lot left out here, but it was amazing haha.

were they dried or fresh?  About 5 or 6 grams of dried will send you to the fucking moon and back.  The night I saw Monsters in theaters, a buddy of mine ate 5 grams at once, then about an hour later he ate another 5 grams and then about 2 hours later another 5 grams.  He was tripping hard for about 6 or 7 hours.  My wife was concerned because he had a laughing fit for about 20 to 30 minutes.  Just nonstop uncontrollable laughter.  He'd calm down for a few seconds then bust out laughing again.  He didn't stop until I put on some David Bowie and he said it was giving him bad mojos.

My windshield has had a small chip in it for the past 2 or 3 years. It's been through summers, been through winters, been through blazing hot temperatures and snow and ice.

Today, we got some freezing rain in Charlotte, not too bad, maybe an 8th of an inch of ice on the windshield. Cleared most of it off, headed to work. Had defroster on high, driving down the road, and then some uncleared ice ran right over the chipped portion of the windshield. The chip turned into a crack, went out about 5 inches on each side.

Driving home from work, the crack spread all the way across the windshield.

So true! I never go to "the club" and I only go to bars to hang out with friends and watch friends' bands play, and even then I'm disinterested in everything except socializing with people I already know and listening to music.

Throw me into a gay bar, and I have brand new BFFs all over the place, I'm dancing, I'm totally drunk, and I'm trying to convince men and women alike that no, my best friend and I are only friends and we really are straight. The next day I have a full Facebook feed of people I don't remember but they're all gay. Always the faghag.  :'(
