Nope, that's 2 minutes of clips from like 6 hours worth of gloriously awful TV.

I NEED THOSE 6 HOURS!

Fuck it, we're cancelling cable. No more Flavor of Love, Rock of Love, and other entertainingly terrible VH1 reality shows. Having cable is just enabling myself to pick up bad addictions like MBFGW, Jersey Shore and anything with those damn Kardashians. And considering every time I try to turn on the PS3, I white-whine all over myself because we have two PS3's in the living room right now and I have to figure out which HDMI port then unplug the audio out of one and into the other, then sync up the right controller... I'll never watch TV, movies, streaming again if we cancel cable and stick with Hulu+/Netflix on PS3. Maybe I'll actually enjoy my summer evenings. We can probably get sell our couch too.

If you've got internet, you've got TV. I don't know what HULU offers on PS3, but if it's anything like NetFlix' streaming catalog on Xbox Live, you're safe. I was rummaging that queue during my last US trip, and was convinced it would keep me busy for a year, even if I wasn't gaming.

Hulu doesn't come close to Netflix. But you can keep up with a lot of your current shows that way. But the movies are craptacular and the selection of shows isn't that great.

Yeah, before I moved a month ago I had Netflix and Hulu plus. I only had Hulu for like two months but I had completely replaced cable with Netflix for the previous 10 months or so. For about 35 bucks a month you get streaming of old movies and tv shows, new tv shows and 3 dvd's/blurays at one time. Not a bad dealio.

I haven't really watched much if any TV since 2005. I did make one exception and that was to watch The Shield. Once that show was over, I had no real use for TV. Everything worth watching found its way to DVD, a Netflix stream, or the internet (legally). There is rarely something on TV that I would like to watch that I can't find on another medium. I suppose it is possible that I miss out on some good shit but I admit that I haven't lost much sleep over it. Especially considering that I'm saving on an overpriced cable/satellite bill, getting a 200 channel package where 90% of the channels are unwatchable.

I was in a slump for 10 years once. Things never went right no matter how much I tried. I got out of the hole by luck and maybe the fact that I hit bottom, with nowhere to go but up. I hope it doesn't last that long for you because things were getting really bad towards the end. Keep your eyes and ears out for options and try to take advantage of them is the best advice anyone can give. Just do something, anything with your time rather than sitting on ass and reading messageboards. Saying that you'll be a millionaire by making iPhone apps is delving into fantasy land, which will keep your ass in the hole.
