Spent most of the weekend getting ready to move all my wife's business crap out of our apartment. She's moving into an office nearby. Our place has been buried in boxes full of this shit for close to 2 years now so there are these little time capsules everywhere underneath it all Such as coloring books my kid drew in when she was 2 (she's now 4), books I was reading back then, even a maternity magazine

It's gonna be so fucking great to get rid of it all. Our living space is gonna basically triple. We'll be getting new furniture and cleaning the place up big-time.

Welp.  Had my first medium sized fuck-up.  Wrote a 50 page monster thing, was putting exhibits together and noticed some odd things that then turned out to invalidate half of what I had just done so spent the rest of the night fixing it.  Still have a good motion that I'll win on, but it was epic before and now it's just kind of "wow, I should not have spent a half of week + my weekend on this" the win will be worth like a half of a day's effort.  Lesson is to investigate the SHIT out of your story/documents and put everything together before you even start writing the story of what went on.  I had done that but a couple of documents that on their face seemed standard, actually were off within the documents which created an avalanche fucking a lot of things up.  Cancelled my date too.

Working on Sundays is such a crap shoot for me. Somedays it's just minding the store and it's awesome because i get a lieu day later whenever I want it. Other days it's just a shitstorm where you have no back-up whatsoever.

I'm done to work next Sunday, and of course that video chat with Alan Moore that I signed up for months ago is scheduled for the middle of the night on Saturday J-time :'( I'm guessing it'll run from around 2-5am my time, then work from 8.30.

If I went into a job interview and had to list my pros and cons it would be:  PRO: Completionist, will keep working until it's DONE and am satisfied with it regardless of personal priorities.  CON: Completionist/Perfectionist, so when I make a mistake I beat myself up to hell and back and get super depressed even if it's not a big deal and I can fix the mistake. 

I've always been like that in school and relationships and everything.  If I mess something up I get pretty depressed about it, which is stupid because everyone makes mistakes and in the scheme of things they aren't a big deal.  But I have OCD about always striving for perfection, which is why I 100% all the games I play even if it's not fun and a chore to do so :|

1) Yes - it's part of a Kickstarter project to build a statue of Harvey Pekar in Cleveland. Moore is a supporter and is doing this as a throw-in
2) My wife started an online kids clothing store a couple of years ago (funded by moi). It's doing way (WAY WAY WAYYYYY) better than we expected so it's time to move it out of our place. Next stop is opening a brick and mortar store or two, then she wants to start her own brand. Ambition is not something she lacks.
3) Don't even do Crossfit anymore really (that whole scene is a bit fucked these days). I pretty much only do my own fitness thing with kettlebells now.
4) Neither do I drink beer when I can help it! It messes me up big time so I only really drink wine these days.

A friend gave me a huge gift today for no reason other than that he's my friend and he wanted to give it to me.  I don't really know how to wrap my mind around it right now and it's given me terrible anxiety.  It's not a bad thing at all, it's just that my mind is racing and I can't get it to quit.

Good thing my 9:30 am class is cancelled for today.  I only have one class that starts at 11 now, but it goes until 2pm on Mondays...

It's set as an open group.  Maybe it takes a while to refresh the settings.  It's pretty bugged in general; like I see requests to join in my notifications, but the request doesn't show in the group, and then the notifications completely disappear.  Membership approval is unchecked, so I'm not sure why it's even required.

I need some assistance, Boreans. I am doing a resume that is formatted, both visually and in terms of organization like a magazine, from beginning to end. For my actual resume section that lists my general information (alma meter, experience, qualifications, what programs I can use and how well) I'm formatting it like a normal feature review - you know, a write up with a body, review scores, et al. I bought the "complete idiot" AppleCare Plus package for my iPhone, specifically because I don't trust myself not to run it through the wash or drop it on the sidewalk.

Is the applecare stuff free replacement?  I wish other companies had that.  I went ahead and got rid of insurance when I found out how much the goddamn deductible was.  I paid into the insurance 8 bucks a month for 4 years and when I went to file a claim they wanted 150 bucks.  8*48=348 + 150 = a refurbished phone that can be had for 150 bucks on ebay/craigslist?  Yeah no thanks.  Maybe if HTC phones kept their value like iphones.

I just still feel terrible because she's super careful with her phone and I'm a klutz.

My mom answered the phone and some guy from Microsoft was calling to tell us that my windows was infected with hacking links or whatever (which she believes) so she puts me on the phone and right away you can tell it's horseshit if you know about computers. So I talk to the guy for a little bit waiting for the moment where he asks me for credit card details and sure enough he starts talking about a support page I have to go to. So, I tell him that in order to verify this is legit I'd like him to tell me who the CEO of Microsoft is, which should be easy enough to answer. He tries to deflect so I ask him again and he says Martin something or other and I start laughing my ass off.

So, he says he thought I was asking who his boss was. Alright, whatever. I have nothing better to do anyway, so I ask him another simple question: In what city is Microsoft HQ located?

He goes silent for a minute and comes back with a supervisor who tells me I need to stop messing around because Ive committed serious crimes in Microsoft office. So, after brief laughter and asking if they were both serious I told them to eat dick.

You know, if you're going to go through all the trouble of calling people and pretending you're Microsoft, the least you could do is know a little trivia or have bing open to search for answers

Well, (A) if you're smart enough to ask those questions then you're smart enough to not fall for it even if they knew the answers and (B) even assuming Microsoft did call people to let them know that got viruses, they'd probably use some call center with people that have no connection to Microsoft. When I worked at a call center, if someone had demanded to know where Verizon HQ was located or who the CEO was, I wouldn't have a clue.
