The way I look at it, if you're gonna be fat anyway, you might as well enjoy yourself for as long as it lasts. Just lose it when you're just one person again. Anyone who tells a pregnant woman that she is still hot is just lying.
In a normal pregnancy with minimal concerns...
- It's harder to lose the weight if you gain 50 lbs rather than 25 lbs.
- If you're gaining that much extra weight, it's usually due to poor nutritional choices which directly affect the baby.
- There are other health issues to consider with gaining more weight than needed.
- It's already going to be hard enough getting around at 8 months, and even worse if you're fatter than you should be.
It has nothing to do with how I look and everything to do with my child's health. I'm barely over 5 foot, so there's really no hiding the huge monstrosity growing inside of me.
Himu - Most pregnant women get constipated (iron supplements mean no poopy plus less muscle tightness in the abdomen). Nothing really smells different, but things that shouldn't hurt do because of the muscle thing. Before I knew I was pregnant, I noticed that when I was sneezing, my stomach hurt so bad like I was getting punched or something. Same with poopy/gas. Normally you have time to prepare for such an event, even a half a second, and apparently the tightening of the ab muscles are part of that, and those immediately begin relaxing for baby.
