More GRE bull shit. On test day you can choose 4 schools to send your scores to for free. Cool right? Well first you need to select the schools before your test, so you don't know how well you did. Second you can only send the current test, or all your tests. These free sends are invalid once you leave the test center, which is silly because you have to have an online account to sign up for the thing, so they could just give you 4 send credits.
If you send online, at a cost of $25, you get to choose what ever test to send.
So here is how it works, because they get sent without knowing your scores, if you have to retake the test because of bad scores and resend, then both scores are sent, where if you opt out of sending the first time, you can only send your best, for $25, and look like a better candidate. So they purposely set up a system where it's to your benefit not use the free sends, which going by online forums is the preferred strategy.
This, along with making it so that you have to sign up for at least two test times to get spots on a retake and then keeping $88 if you don't need the the second test, has me livid.
If all this shit is linked to an online account, there is no reason to force having the free sends needing to be done on test day. Also they should easily be able to give you a pin number which you give to schools so they can look up your scores instead of paying $25 to send a piece of paper. Fuck these people.
Also their button to submit a customer service email doesn't work.
