i'm the same age, i go to sleep at 11:30 pm on the dot on Saturdays to wake up at 5:30 am on Sundays for work.

she was sleeping already at that point, so she must have went to sleep at 10 or something way earlier, which i would have been blasting music before that already.

i tend to oversleep. i usually get like 10 hours of sleep if im not doing anything the next day, and i'm worse off than if i just get 6 hours. 7-8 is the same story, 6 is probably what i'm better with.

past couple weeks ive been waking up before 9 am most days, i go through weird cycles sometimes. i usually go to sleep when i'm tired and then sleep until i have to wake up

Jet lag is still working me like a sandbag at a gym. Woke up at 03:45 this morning. Should have watched a movie, but I kept hoping I'd get back to sleep.

(Normally) 6 to 6.5 hours is what I get every day, and it is usually just fine. 7 hours is optimal, and if I sleep 8 it feels like I'm groggy all day. I know that primal diet stuff is big on sleep, but there are still only 24 hours a day, and I don't like missing 1/3 of them.

I am now starting to force myself to go to bed at 11:00 pm whenever I don't have to do any rush design jobs.
Working for two companies and mowing lawns on the weekends for extra money is wearing me the fuck out and I need all sleep I can get.

It will all be worth it once I have enough money to leave my parents house and be able to live on my own.

Brehs spinach is probably the easiest, tastiest side dish you can make in <10 minutes. I made mine with mushrooms too, and some cajun seasoning for a bit of hotness.

It was my first time in a year, so that may have been why the lag hit so hard. 5 or 6 years ago, I was doing biz dev and setting up an American branch office; I was going about once a month, and the jet lag wasn't nearly so overwhelming.

I was in the USA for most of 2012; I was only in Japan for March, a week in June, and then all of November and December. The rest of the time I was working in Redwood City. So... come to think of it, there was frequent travel before coming back last November.

Prior to that, my last few years at the Japanese company were bereft of international travel, so I only made it back once a year for vacation.

Nah. It's call fructose malabsorption. I have it too. It happens when you restrain from consuming fructose. It makes it difficult for your body to digest it. I thought I got food poisoning from some ice cream until a week later I tried a green apple and the same thing happened again. Bleh
