Man I feel pretty down.
I'm not someone who searches out "death videos". You know videos that show actual murder, because actual violence scares and disgusts me. I hate to see any human being get hurt.
I have a lot of people from high school on my Facebook. Someone adds me, I just accept. No thought really behind it, I don't care that much about Facebook outside of communicating with close friends. Nevertheless I do have some individual's who's posts appear on my feed and a lot of the times they are stupid Fox New's esque BS. I never knew that so many people I knew where that kind of conservative.
Anyway, one of those types decided to post a video with the comment "Islam. Such a peaceful religion...". A line like that with my knowledge of the posters thinking. The dude makes posts about about how he's got a job why don't you people (IE black people) and other anti welfare posts with a racists bent. Almost to the point that I'm not sure if he even understands he's being racist. Anyway the video is a graphic execution of several people. It's from liveleak, I couldn't watch it and I sure didn't have the sound. Again real violence disgusts me.
It just really kind of makes me mad that someone would posts the video with the agenda of presenting one religion as "evil". Now I know very little about Islam, but I know Islam dosen't promote violence, it's just how some people chose to interpret it. The thing is clearly everyone must know that many violent acts have been made and continued to be made in the name of religion, any religion. You'd think people wouldn't be so oblivious to history or the world. Do people forget the Klu Klux Klan and how it tries to draw from Christianity?
I don't know, the whole thing made me just kind of mad and sad (that rhymes) so much so I just wanted to rant. I mean I'm mad that someone would even want to share such violence and then use it to make such a terrible agenda.
I guess the silver lining is that some did call him out on it.
