But even so, it's not Sony, but the PlayStation brand.  No one cares about Sony LCDs or Walkman MP3 players anymore.  Samsung and Apple have beat Sony in those areas.

I knew SSF4 lost most of their casual sales once I saw the distinct lack of flowchart Kens online. More of the hardcore fighting game community resides on the PS3, so it's not surprising at all that the PS3 version did better.

Alan Wake deserves better sales than Splinter Cell because it's a much better game.

But it's also a new IP. So I don't know about the sales. I predict ~400k for Alan Wake next month.

Not only that but its a new franchise with no built in fanbase. It looks like a weird game to casuals I'm guessing. And I don't think video of it comes off especially well.

This will have nothing to do with the quality of the game, but for a game that took 6 years to make and comes from an "acclaimed" developer like Remedy...

Low sales for the PS3/360. The PS3 has yet to show any momentum despite some big games coming out. 360 seems like it's in solid second place right now. Wii declining, but still on top.
