I can not say I hate them. I did not care for the longest time. Right now I am surrounded by hipsters. The one thing that bugs me is there is this sense of theft of culture, that they stole my age's childhood and used it as their own. I can understand, late 90s childhood stuff was pretty vomitous. Some stuff needed to stay in the 80s though.

Not really a hipster. I just do my thing. I've fallen into weezer syndrome, where I get labeled a trend each time a trend comes along. I have the grunge flannels from my teen years that hipsters now wear Urban Outfitter versions of. When a generation is copy/pasting your past, it is hard to not get thrown in with them. Especially with my young pretty face.

There's this philo/lit studies hipster fashionized girl at my college who looks like Amber Lamps. She has long dark hair, always has her headphones on and wears torn tights over sweatpants. I run into her a lot on the bus, and I like to watch the guys on the bus who look like they live on 4chan when she's there. Most of the time they start looking at her and then begin whispering to each other. I have this theory that they go back to their dorms and amass a wall in honor of her, arguing amongst themselves if she is truly "the one".
