Bought The Missing Link DLC tonight. It was only $9.99, I thought it was $14.99?

edit: It's supposed to be $14.99. Someone screwed up.

i picked up the DLC as well. played a little bit of it. seems neat.

supposedly it's roughly 5 hours of content which would be cool however i'm guessing it's probably a bit shorter than that. from the little i played it appears to be like a story mission from the original game but longer and with some side stuff along the way.

graphics are touched up slightly. haven't gotten outside the ship though.

remember how they said that you get all your augs removed at the beginning? well don't let that sway you because you are literally given a butt load of praxis kits within the first 20 minutes of it.

and i just noticed there is an achievement for playing through without using any praxis kits, guns or explosives. i already leveled up my cloak so oh well.

I've almost finished this, I've figured it this is actually a great game. I was really confused as to wether or not I liked the game but now I'm sure I love it.

Will definitely get the DLC (when its on sale, 1200msp is a hefty chunk of change) and the full 1250G someday, but right now I'll be happy with one play through on hard, then it's back to Dark Souls

Batman is way better, imo. All the on-disc content locked really put me off.

Bought the Director's cut on Steam. Played about halfway through on the 360 when it originally came out but I've forgotten most of it so its like a new game for me.

Also this game is ugly. Not that it matters.

But when I booted it up on the PC, I thought it probably end up looking much better. It doesn't.

This game has what might very well be the worst character modeling in any 360/PS3-gen title

Just saying the game looks shitty graphics wise. Like really shitty. Especially the character models and how they animate. But its kinda not the point of the experience and I'm not a graphics whore anyway so I'll leave it. Just saying.

people are saying the director's cut looks worse than the original.  apparently the porting process went: original > one company ports it to wii u using upgrades from missing link dlc > SE realizes the wii u is fucked, hires another company to port the port back to PC/360/PC.  something went wrong along the way.  but it wasn't a looker when it came out either, so w/e.  I want to play it eventually for the commentary.

The worst part graphically about DX:HR was the grody cutscenes. :yuck

That really sucks if it looks worse... I was hoping for a definitive version without the crappy boss bottles.

Honestly I just mentioned the graphic thing to mention it. It really shouldn't matter. At least it doesn't to me. Yeah the game looks crappy but really is that the real reason anyone is coming to the party here. Especially with a new generation of consoles and PC games that take advantage of them.

The game is really fun. I kinda had forgotten how fun it is. I played all this evening. And this time I understand certain little systems I didn't the first go around (the conversation pheromone thing for instance) so its a better experience.

I feel like I under-rated this game when it came out. I mean I thought it was good at the time but I remember being vaguely disappointed in it because it wasn't as revolutionary as the original Deus Ex.

Its taken this amount of time and this playthrough to appreciate it a bit more. It's a much much much better videogame than say Bioshock infinite. It's just darn fun.

Yeah. I don't usually play games more than once (with the exception of choice loot games), but I started this up immediately after I finished, jumped on the DLC day one, etc. Very fun game. I just wish the Montreal hub had made it in.
