I feel like Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is overwhelmed at the moment every time I see him make a decision. He's young I know but still.

edit: I don't care what analytics say. Some players should NEVER take threes. Westbrook is one of those people.

Westbrook pretty good tonight in a bounce back game. Harden is pretty bad so far scoring at least but Dortz is defending the hell out of him. Chris Paul not so good tonight either.

4th quarter Houston lead. Can they hold it.

I think Steve Adams out there was mistake but that's just my two cents as a yokel watching TV. I wonder if D'Antoni saved his job with that win. It was hard to imagine him staying after a loss. But now I think the Rockets have basically reached expectation by making the second round. We'll see if they can get an upset.

Very interesting. Nash was of course a smart player but being a smart player doesn't necessarily translate to being a good coach. I do like his temperament though for being a coach. Also kind of interesting that kyrie didn't back lue.

It will all come down to the playoffs. Durant and Kyrie are good enough to roll through the east regular season no matter who the coach is.

I find it more surprising in the sense that the guys who made a lot of money playing are generally less interested in coaching compared to the guys who made just average money for nba players relatively speaking.

If you made a crapload of money in your career, you have less incentive to put in the hard work and long hours coaching requires compared to just living a relatively carefree life sitting on your money.

Steve Nash made 144 million in his career. That's not the most ever of course but its pretty darn good to not ever have to work as hard as a coach has to.

Tim Duncan kinda fits in here. I think of the current crop of stars the three that jump out as obvious potential coaches to me would be LeBron, Chris Paul, and Rondo. Rondo is smart enough, but don't think he really wants it and likely better in broadcasting. The other two I would think would be more interested in an avenue to ownership.

Nash was in the periphery of the Warriors as an advisor and probably liked what he saw Kerr doing. The only thing I remember from that was he was quoted as saying something like 'they don't need me at all.'

That or maybe he invested it all in Blockbuster.

Speaking of Chris Paul, thinking about it a bit today it really was pretty unexpected and great how he was able to basically put an entire team on his shoulders and maximize the situation the trade put him in. When it happened I thought he was done, but he may have a few years left in a relatively good situation, even if I don't think they will be in legit title contention. Bad way to end a weird season but glad it's at least kind of looking up for him as he is a great dude.

That's the thing, I don't see people of Lebron and Chris Paul's stature ever willing to be coaches. Part owners maybe but not all the bs you have to deal with as a coach. I'm not saying I see Rondo as a coach but he is more the type I think who would. Someone who made a lot of money in his career but not so ungodly an amount that its obscene. Also coaching isn't the glamour job. The glamour job is the gm. That tends to be the sexier job instead of the frontline job of coaching.

Money isn't the only factor of course. Tim Duncan made great money but he seems like he would be willing to do it, but his temperament seems to match up with coaching.

Yeah I felt bad for Chris being on the Thunder (even though you can only feel so bad for a person making that amount of money) when the season began but they had a miracle season. There are a lot of rumours that he has rehabilitated some of his value and may be traded in the off-season even with that anchor of a contract he has

Bucks getting absolutely waxed in this series. And generally I think coach bud is quite good but he's gotta play his stars longer. This is the playoffs and they are in a do or die situation and he's playing them like 35 34 minutes. That's kinda crazy.

Rockets got this game. Lakers being outcoached and outplayed in this one. They should still win the series but games like this show why they can't stand against the clippers.

It's so obvious you have to play small against the rockets. Howard and McGee are useless in match up like this. Davis has to play the Center. But nope. Still gonna play exactly the same way.

I'm not sure the nurses have to necessarily stay in the bubble (I'm not sure ALL workers have to stay in the bubble the entire time) but even if they do I think the issue is fear that she could potentially compromise the situation if there is a sexual relationship going on. Like there are probably rules against relationships with the person who also takes your pee samples for drug tests.
