It looks good but I honestly think we are basically at the point of diminishing returns when it comes to basketball game graphics. Like the graphical leaps now are just trying to mimic reality and that is hard to do. Like I think almost something like NBA street would do better in that regard because your limitations aren't reality.

That being said, I think there is always room for improvement in animation quality and control and things you actually feel you when play the game versus things you see.

My Mom already can't tell the difference between 2k and live NBA.  :lol :whatisthis

I'll probably get next year's XSX or PS5 depending on reviews, assuming they don't drop price on this madly on black Friday sales. I am guessing 21 will be good for the (tentative) upcoming season kicking off in what, January?

*edit* also, aside from of course load times, which I am looking forward to I agree most of what we'll get improvements on for next gen will be canned stuff, additional models on screen, etc. and we may not get too much more advancement in player models this gen. RT would help but not sure how much of that we'll get on consoles.

pretty fearful of the size on a smaller drive though.

Miami zone causing all kind of problems for the Lakers. It's basically turned them into a jump shooting team. They are getting no free throws

AD with the dagger. KCP also made some great shots down the stretch. That was a really good tight game all through out.

I gotta give it to Jimmy Butler. He's played so much better than I thought he was. I mean I knew Jimmy butler was a good nba player but he's a notch above where I envisioned him.

Apparently finals ratings are down 60% from last year, which featured a Canadian team. There's tons of reasons, but I hope some of it's due to fatigue with teams just buying talent until they win.

23 minutes. No points. 3 turnovers. Morris.

Why was Morris on the floor? C'mon Vogel. It was pretty clear he was rattled for most of the game. All his turnovers were terrible.

Well played by the Heat. Have to give them credit. They are not going away. And Butler continues to play at an exceptional level. He looks like a top three player in the league out there against the Lakers.

It's frustrating that Danny Green missed the shot as he's been sucking but shots are a percentage thing, even the open ones and that's fine. Morris was an idiot who made an idiotic play. That was a terrible pass to literally nobody when if he just took one second and looked around Lebron was wide open to his right.

Well whatever happens, I like that the Lakers finally decided to play small with Davis at center. Playing Dwight at center against a small ball mobile lineup this series has been so dumb. As if we didn't learn from the Rockets.

Lakers gonna win it due to that massive lead but I hate playing prevent offense.

It was a surprisingly competitive series even with the Heat injuries. They played really well. And are a much better team than I thought going into this thing.

Whole bubble experience turned out to be a lot better than I expected. No corona got spread around. The games were competitive and fun. No home court advantage. Nice social justice messages from a sports league. etc. Good experience.

The Van Gundy's are both back!
Quote
Stan Van Gundy met with New Orleans Pelicans officials on Tuesday, emerging as one of four expected finalists for the franchise's coaching job, sources told ESPN.

Clippers assistant coach Ty Lue's candidacy for the Rockets' head-coaching job has gathered significant momentum after a meeting with Houston's ownership and management Monday, sources told ESPN.

The Rockets are competing with the Clippers for Lue and could try to extend an offer before Los Angeles has completed its search process, but that wasn't expected to happen before Houston met with former coach Jeff Van Gundy this week, sources said.

Van Gundy met with Rockets ownership and management Wednesday about the job, and conversations with the team will continue Thursday, sources said.

Both Lue and Van Gundy are prominent parts of the Rockets' and Clippers' coaching searches -- and Lue has been the Clippers' front-runner since Doc Rivers was dismissed on Sept. 28, sources said.

The NBA is pursuing a pre-Christmas Day start and a reduced regular-season schedule for the 2020-2021 season, abandoning plans to delay the opening with hopes of incorporating fans back into arenas, sources told ESPN.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the NBA is proposing several changes to next season that include a 72-game regular season, a play-in tournament and the likelihood of no All-Star Game or All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis, sources said. The league is considering a two-week break at the midway point of the season, sources said.

The NBA shared these plans in a call with the league's board of governors on Friday afternoon, and the league plans to move quickly to complete negotiations with the National Basketball Players Association to implement the plan, sources said.

The reduction in regular-season games -- which would help accommodate a play-in tournament format for both conferences -- allows the NBA to finish the season before the Summer Olympics in Japan.

The New York Knicks have declined the $15.75 million team option on forward Bobby Portis and the $1.7 million team option on guard Theo Pinson. New York also waived guards Elfrid Payton and Wayne Ellington and center Taj Gibson, all of whom had partially guaranteed contracts for 2020-21. The moves free up $40 million in cap space for the Knicks.
I like Bobby Portis and Elfrid Payton, they deserve to be backups on a good team instead of playing for the Knicks.
