Why can't Cleveland just have normal bad teams? Why do they have to take it to a different level?

One part I liked is how it came out they had hired J.B. Bickerstaff to a multi-year deal because they feared this would happen, they just didn't think it'd be so soon. :lol

And that they hired Beilein in part to stick it to other teams who claimed to want him, even though nobody knows who was bluffing who.

Boogie being waived.

The other Morris twin and Reggie Jackson got waived and immediately went to the Clippers. (or not: tweet was wrong about Morris, see Stoney post below :doge)

Unfortunate for Boogie but he was just a dead roster spot.

I'm still not overly worried about them under performing when it comes to the playoffs (I'm pro Lakers at the moment so I would love it to happen but I doubt it)but the clips aren't playing their best basketball at the moment. They could end up being the 4th or 5th seed if they don't get it together.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/28831398/tim-duncan-filling-gregg-popovich-gets-first-win-acting-head-coach
Quote
Tim Duncan got his first victory as an acting head coach Tuesday when he filled in for Gregg Popovich for the San Antonio Spurs' 104-103 victory over the Charlotte Hornets.

Popovich missed the game while dealing with "personal business," according to the team. He is expected to return to the bench for Friday's game against the Brooklyn Nets.

The team would not say if Popovich made the trip to Charlotte.

"It's night and day to be in the big-boy chair," Duncan said. "But truth be told, I wasn't in the big-boy chair. We've got [Spurs assistants] Becky [Hammon] and Will [Hardy] and Mitch [Johnson]. Mitch prepped the game for us, Becky and Will were making all the calls, and I was the only one just standing there screaming at people -- nonsensical stuff.

"So we did it coach by committee, and it could've been any one of us up there and we would've done exactly the same stuff."

Asked if being a head coach is something he wants to pursue down the road, Duncan said, "Nope. Pop is going to be back, and I will be happy to hand it right over to him."
Bigger story for me is Tim Duncan's hair, wtf poor guy is going through a midlife crisis.

Charles Barkley on Draymond Green: "He's the least famous person in the boy band, and he thinks he's a star. And he's not."

"I think [Draymond is] a good player and a great guy. I like messing with him but he's got the perfect face for radio!" Barkley added, "He don't have a TV face! He could do the job but he doesn't have a face for TV."

I remember Vince Carter making a shot to beat the Wizards in a regular season game, in the Gilbert Arenas era.

It was when they had that new ball that everyone hated (Steve Nash said it made his hands bleed and they changed back), and he heaves up a buzzer beater three pointer from the top of the arc. The ball hit right where the rim connects to the backboard (which always produces a miss and a long rebound) and then the ball just died and slumped down into the net.

Still miffed just thinking about it.
