Could someone please explain the fucking Juggalo phenomenon to me? I really don't understand it at all.

To me, they've always been a fringe act. Like Gwar for a white trash audience (redundant?). But then they had that "Fuckin' Magnets, how do they work?" viral video go 'round and the whole Gathering of the Juggalos has been getting a lot of attention from places on the internet that I'd never expect (such as The AV Club).

Now they're in the news for going apeshit on both Tila Tequila and fucking Method Man of all people at the latest Gathering of the Juggalos!

I just don't get it. Is it hip-hop for trailer park trash? How the fuck are they so popular? I've never met anyone in my life that would self-proclaim themselves as a "juggalo". What the fuck is Faygo? Midwestbore, holla!

I think the most surprising thing about the whole ICP thing is how long they've been around. I mean I suppose I could understand 1 or 2 years of this nonsense but we're looking at fucking 15 or more with no end in sight.

Part of the reason understanding Juggalo culture is so difficult is because Juggalos themselves tend to be incapable of articulating their world-view in any substantive way. Of course, this point is somewhat tautological; if a Juggalo were capable of articulating his underlying sense of alienation, it is unlikely he would express himself by downing faygo and wearing clown make-up. Fortunately there are a couple anomalous members who recognize the underlying class resentment that fuels Juggalo culture. Maybe this will give you some insight Corny:
