As much as I dislike the style they have with this new DMC, I'm still looking forward to it as long as the action is good and Ninja Theory doesn't fill it with cinematic bullshittery.  I really hated a lot of the style in DMC3 too but the game was awesome.

I'm most sad about Nero not making a return  :'(

Asura's Wrath does look awesome.  CC2 has great style.

DMC3 is also the best DMC, so Dante's stupid design is forgivable.  DMC5 will likely be awful, gameplay-wise.  No faith in NT, nor should I.

DMC4 sold MILLIONS. It was a huge smashing success.  So what do they do?  Sit on the franchise for 2 years doing nothing and then outsource a reboot to people who should stick to making point and click QTE adventure games.

DMC died to me when no sequel was announced 2 years ago.  It's like they forget they had this awesome series that could compete with NG and Bayonetta and left it to die.

It would be hilarious if the goal of new Dante (if it is the same character) was for you to hate him.  They intentionally are making him mock that dickhead video.  Basically, instead of riding a motorcycle, now he rides a fixie bike.

As long as I get incredible trailers like the 2007 TGS trailer for DMC4, I don't care and I'll buy 5.  I only played 4 for an hour and haven't touched it since.  But the trailer is my favorite game trailer and made my buy the damn game.

Oh and Heavenly Sword was fucking awesome.  Fuck the haters.  Heavenly Sword and Ninja Gaiden are the only action games I've ever completed.  So maybe DMC5 can do it too.  <3

Why does anyone care what he looks like?  DMC rocked because the gameplay rocked. 

DMC NT will suck not because their changes to art, but because as anyone who plays Heavenly Sword and Enslaved demo can tell you, their gameplay sucks.  It makes God of War combat seem deeper than the grand canyon.  Plus the whole, can't even hit 30fps ever thing.

also, GoW3 is still not up there with NG2, NGS, NGS2, or DMC4, even if all 4 were not up to par with DMC3 or NG:B. 

God of War is the same shit as it was in GoW1.  It's not a hardcore action game in the least.

I thought I read that it hit a million worldwide--not sure how that's possible, so hopefully someone will fact check that for me.  They've teased new Bayonetta stuff and it doesn't seem like it was a one-off kind of game. 

but even in their wounded states, i'd rather play the new NG and DMC games.  Though DMC will end up worse than God Of War if Capcom lets Ninja Theory handle the combat and game design.

That series did kind of die out.  I don't think Oni 3 and Dawn of Dreams did all that well...which is weird because 1 and 2 were kind of mind-blowing to me when they came out.  I should give them another try and see if they hold up.

I loved the first 2 Onimusha games, but I also remember how fucking frustrating they were. There was nothing worse than being in a fight only to have the camera suddenly change because you moved out of frame.

Onimusha 3 controlled better than 1/2 and stopped using prerendered backgrounds.  Dawn of Dreams made the series even more of an action game.  I just assumed it was popular at one time because the series even got a party versus game like smash bros and a gba game.  There was also the port of the first game to the Xbox.

Onimusha 3 was really good.  Plus it had Jean Reno voiced by the guy who played Bear in the dot Hack anime.  It was weird because I think Jean Reno voiced one version of the game.
