Somehow I missed out on all the publisher megapacks that are on the second page of the promotion. The Square/Eidos one is pretty fucking nutty, I would totally grab it if I hadn't bought the Eidos one last year.

is anyone else getting "There has been an internal error..." yadda yadda when trying to purchase something?

this never happened before

edit: it just let me purchase something for myself, but now it won't let me purchase a gift - something about payment authorization. LAME-O

zzzz

I'm kind of glad Singularity is so expensive because I just bought the X360 version yesterday for $15 since I was under the impression there was no PC version.  Would've been pissed if it was the same price or less and I screwed up.

can't believe they're still charging $10 for Oblivion and $20 for Fallout 3.  Bethesda 50% sales are almost as bad as Capcom/Activision 50% sales.

Miiiight re-buy GTA Eps for $10.  I'm going to open my X360 copy of Episodes from Liberty City and try it out tonight and see how good/bad it looks/runs and decide if it's worth $10 for the upgrade.

Otherwise it seems like a pass on everything today unless people tell me Hegemoney or Grand Ages Rome are awesome since they are cheap cheap and I'll buy anything awesome for cheap cheap.

pretty sure both morrowind and oblivion were sold together for less than what oblivion is being sold for now last year or in the summer. thinking about eu3 complete, though apparently it's not really complete and you need another expansion

It just depends on how complete you wanna get. EU3: Complete has the first two expansions, there's a third expansion on Steam that's sold separately, and now there's a fourth expansion that's out but isn't on Steam yet.

hmm, Oblivion isn't a great deal but still a lot cheaper than a physical copy over here. Anybody feel like gifting it to me, since it's unavailable in Japan? Usual terms apply!

I tried GTA Eps on X360 for a few mins and man GTAIV looks like shit regardless of your platform which is a shame because the core city when maxed out is gorgeous.

PS3: Blurry, low res look for everything from textures to effects, jaggies, 30fps maybe - ugly
X360: low res look for everything from textures to effects, jaggies, 30fps maybe - ugly
PC: sharp detailed high res look for everything, horrible jaggies, horrible performance - less ugly
PC 2020: sharp detailed high res look for everything, supersample 4x AA, 60fps - drop dead gorgeous game

I guess I'll double dip on the GTA eps in 2020 steam sale when I have my awesome gaming PC of the future that can't play GTAVI!

GTA4 is more CPU reliant than anything but I think a high end i7 quad or hex plus something like the Radeon 5970 could probably max it out.  Just taking a guess here though.

STALKER deal is incredible since it includes the two good games (Pripyat is the best, btw).  Haven't played Clear Sky with mods yet, but the vanilla version wasn't nearly as good as the other two.

I only got the Jedi Knight one.

also, the Hitman collection isn't a collection; each game is reduced to $2.50.  Blood Money is the most recent and best one and is so worth it.

oh, and the reason the deal is for only STALKER SoC and Pripyat is because Pripyat is an expansion pack that requires the original to play.  It is more a deal for Pripyat since people would get it and wonder why they couldn't play it.

What makes Call of Pripyat better than vanilla?  I sort of liked the atmosphere in vanilla STALKER, but the janky combat was a bit too much for me to handle.

buh? CoP is not an expansion. def does not require the original. you're probable just confused about the loyalty promo where you get CoP cheaper if you owned a previous STALKER game.

i'm guessing the reason they only bundle the first and third games is because they are widely considered the better ones and Clear Sky is kind of shitty.
