If anyone is playing the racing game tonight, invite me. I need that achievement. Also, I'll only be playing gunner.

I LITERALLY just threw controller trying to gold medal Europe 5. Fuck this game

The earlier stages were really well designed, but some of the later stages are kind of lame. Too much forced waiting around.

Oh man, got to this stage. What a fucking buzzkill. I haven't even gotten to the end because I want to make an entire run without a single mistake, and I'm unable to do it. The part near the beginning with the random colored drop-away panels is fucking DUMB.

especially cos its random and you cant actually get to the panel in time if its over the other side.

I just run the stage near-flawless and got a gold with 2 seconds to spare.

Japan will be even rougher.

Still, it's good that they made the last couple of achievements hard. it seperates the cheevo whoring men from the boys

Crash Course is awesome. Just played through USA and Europe and got the gold medals. Gonna play some Naruto now, but I'll be back for Glorious Nippon later.

Pretty great for a free game. Better than Mario.

It's legitimately hard; I like it, I'm not complaining, but I'm also pretty sure I don't have the patience or motor skills to get Gold on most courses.

Neither do I but it was just fun to play most of them. Unlike Trials HD I didn't hit that curve where it just became impossible or overly frustrating for me to play.

Doritos are delicious.  Put them in a bowl, squeeze some lemon on them, put some jalapenos and valentina hot sauce on them and you're in fucking heaven.

Got the 200/200 on Crash Course. Not too bad, only took a few hours. Awesome game though, easily one of the best free games I've ever played.

Wouldnt it be better to just do this with regular Tortilla Chips?

got 200/200 in Crash Course  8) the only really bad levels were Europe 5 (due to all the paintball shit) and Japan 4 (because there was a lot of ultra-precise parts). Pretty cool game for free.

Sceneman babysat me through the "complete all levels on Live" Achievement. He was blazing through while I was hammer and paintball smashed through the whole thing. The Scenester is a monster.

New content on marketplace now: 160 spacebux. Paid DLC for a free game? Think of it as IAP for a good game.

http://www.trueachievements.com/a78350/sore-wa-kantan-desu-achievement.htm

Apparently either the title update, save data, or DLC messes with this Achievement.

I pulled a 1:38, and it didn't pop. Deleted the title update and DLC, struggled repeatedly, and got 1:36 while offline -- still didn't pop.

Now I've reinstalled the title update but no DLC, but I was so riddled with adrenalin that I couldn't pull off a couple of the shortcuts, and I'm still not sure if it will pop. Apparently I may need to delete everything and reinstall to get these to pop.

I got it down to 1:31 this morning, offline, still didn't pop.

Cleared my cache and am trying again.

Interesting datapoint: XBLA previously downloaded only the base game, but now auto downloads the title update with the game.

Also, though I deleted this game from all storage devices, cleared my cache, and re-downloaded it, deleted the title update which forces me to play offline, it is unclear why the game still knows my previous best times. I'm missing data somewhere, and it is driving me bonkers.

Jesus.

If you manage it, tell me how. I can get under 1:40 with effort, but am losing my will to play. This is remarkably frustrating.

Yeah. Not sure what to do.

I pinged a few recent winners on TA.com and they confirmed that they unlocked the Achievement before doing any DLC stuff. Others confirmed that they, like me, are seeing race times even when they're not connected to XBL, and were starting the game with a restored profile and a new save game. It seems like the data is possibly stored in the GamerTag?

Some Xbox Ambassador on the official forum said that Behaviour is working on a patch, which I wouldn't believe, except that I previously wouldn't have believed in for-pay DLC for a free game two years after launch. And yet: City Lights.

We'll see.

In other news, you were right about Leela. Love 5 with no Negative Energy is a fool's errand.

Xbox Ambassadors dont know shit, they're just regular people

Some information is stored on Gamertag as well. I had Dark Void glitch on me for an achievement, and since its tied to my tag, I can never get it. Ever.

Clearing my Xbox cache also ended up deleting my double fine action theater progress, which I'd gained from a friends copy at his house. So now my Kinect PlayFit progress has been diminished thanks to crash course!

Crash Course has been updated; two major bugs are apparently addressed.

I unlocked Sore Ha Kantan Desu last night by finishing an unrelated level. It checked my best time on the server, and popped the 'cheevo for me.

I'm going to get the Going For Gold 'cheevo, and then delete the game with extreme prejudice.

It's pretty "meh" overall. I'm guessing these were minor modifications to their old engine while they ran up their ideas and plans for CC2. There is not a lot of content in the DLC, especially compared to CC2, but it was fun enough at the time... until it ruined my ability to get the other Achievements, and I thought it would never be patched.  :-\

Doritos Crash Course: FUCK Europe 4 and 5 right in their ears.

I blew through USA 1 through 5, got Gold on my first run for each of them. Europe 1-3, too, thanks to some lucky breaks. But the last two levels there are ball busters.

DONE.

Jesus, Japan 3 wasn't nearly as bad as the two Europe troublemakers. Japan 5 was a cakewalk in comparison -- though it's not like it didn't take me a bazillion tries.

Done. So, so done. Started 12 December, 2010, ended today. Game is deleted from the hard disk. A great, wonderful, insanely frustrating game. I am ecstatic.
