I'd definitely attribute shovelware to it more than the Gamecube. Apart from that. Not much is different. I owned xbox, ps2 and gamecube and I played my GC a lot. Wii is basically the same as Gamecube (+waggle) with a few notable Nintendo games (NSMB, Mario Galaxy) and a few decent exclusives - NMH, Sin and Punishment 2, and JRPGs that look great but NOA is too lame to bring them over. I would take GC's Nintendo line up over Wii's anyday.

don't mean to say this is for everyone, but Sin and Punishment 2 was $8 at my nearest Target a few weeks ago, and I picked up Red Steel 2 for under $5 new (pretty good game, btw).

oh, and Metroid Other M was $20 on Amazon this past week.
