Just outside of Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada, there are a set of hot springs called the Takhini Hot Pools. Every February the hot springs hosts a Hair Freezing Contest. Participants lay in the hot water while wiping cold water into their hair. This is best done when the temperature is about -4º through -22ºF. 10 to 30 minutes of careful shaping can result in beautifully sculpted, completely frozen hair.

One man's trip to the casino on Wednesday turned into a nightmare when he was kidnapped and forced to snort drugs at gunpoint.The victim, whose name is not being released, thought he'd spend the afternoon at the Choctaw Casino. He met two women, and the plan was that he was going to back to one of the women's homes in Cartwright, Okla.But the trio made a stop at the Colbert home of Jamin Sims, the man who was stabbed at the Dam Bar back in December 2014. Sims, according to police, has a long criminal record, and he wasn't shy about sharing those exploits with the victim.At that point the victim stated that Jamin Sims asked him if he was a police officer. According to Bryan County Sheriff's Investigator Nathan Calloway, the victim stated he was not a police officer, but Sims wanted to make sure. "Our suspect Jamin Sims told our victim, 'Well if you're not a police officer, you're going to do a line of meth,' " Calloway said.The victim resisted, but deputies said he gave in when Sims showed him a gun. "Our suspect was concerned that the victim may still know too much, so he didn't feel good about releasing him," Calloway said.Investigators say Sims took the victim to the Walmart in Denison, and then to one of the women's homes on Central Road in Cartwright.While in the home, the victim pretended to sleep. "He decided it was time to make a run," Calloway said. "He saw a door, took off out the back door, climbed a fence," and ran through the woods. A good Samaritan let him in to call police.On Thursday deputies arrested Sims on kidnapping, drugs and weapons charges. A neighbor said she watched it all unfold. "We saw our Colbert cops pull up, Sheriff's Department, and the Swat team," Terri Daniel said.Maybe even more disturbing was how deputies say they found Sims. "When we made entry into the bedroom where he (Sims) was at," Calloway said "He was found with his pants around his ankles, his genitals exposed, holding onto a black pit bull."Additional charges against Sims are pending.
