I actually had no idea this place has been around for so long, in Internet years. You all actually have some seriously good formaldehyde'd threads preserved in the olden days sub-forum, what is with the different colours on the names. Blue is mod, purple is important, blue is people like me. But the greens and the others have me confused, are they posters who left, and there is burnt umber as well.

It was, but long after it dropped off the Billboard charts. It could be her image -- it's too awesome for most people, and she doesn't play into easy stereotypes. She's short, tomboyish, can fucking dance like a firecracker, has a pompadour, and a voice that would put most pop acts to shame.

In other words, the anti-Rihfund.

As for Tightrope not being a huge hit, I don't know. It does feel very retro compared to most dance songs, and has way, way, way, way more amazing instrumentation than anything else I've heard in the past ten years. It actually sounds like dance music compared to the Europop aping every other pop act shits out.

Its not tied to a dead media format (DVD) and uses an exciting new plastic receptacle (the games card, and the ps ether) for enabling you to get the entertainment. Wipeout is really good, and reminds me of Forsaken on the N64, maybe it's the colours.
