One thing I'll say about both sides: I had no idea so many people cared about Bayonetta.  It sold fairly well and all, but this reaction is still pretty stunning.

One of my favorite things about the Xbox/360 controllers are the offset analogs. I've never liked the Dual Shock ones mostly because of their placement.

It works better for FPS and TPS games, I imagine. There will be an adjustment period, but it shouldn't be a big deal, Nintendo makes comfortable controllers usually and the CC Pro was heaven.

It being good for fps and tps games makes no sense, since no modern tps or fps uses face buttons to shoot.

Hold LT to aim, you're running with B button, you aim to shoot, and you have to put your fingers up to even aim with right stick. You've got your thumb on a stick just a few inches from your index finger that's on RT to shoot.

Seems cumbersome. I have no clue how anyone who plays games at length could think that is a good set up, sorry.
