that watch thread is hilarious.

@ the dudes trying to argue that a watch DOESN'T get you ahead in the professional world. In a business meeting it's poor etiquette to whip out your cell phone. Ever worked with clients? Tell me that taking out your cell to see the time is respectful when you're dealing with a client face to face. In the professional world, a watch doesn't go far, but it completes the ensemble. You can't have a suit without a watch and be taken seriously. It looks boy-ish, naive, green.

That said, I do prefer cells over watches. I'm a hairy guy and watches tend to get stuck to my hair and it fucking hurts. Also, watches break easy, especially since I tend to go for leather straps since metal straps get caught in my hair.

They've been pretty lax on that front (thread locking) compared to the past, in fact they usually end up supporting the practice by banning memes like "cool story bro" and thread whining. The philosophy behind it simply "if it's not worth discussing, stop bumping it by posting and let it die." The only problem is that there many terrible posters who'd make threads like those thrive and prosper. As for Stump, he's a sweetheart, least mod susceptible to wielding the hammer. He'd rather remind people of where the line lies than to actually ban. <3
