Honestly, I don't put ketchup in the fridge. I just leave it out for room temp. I put mustard in the fridge though.

I also don't put hot sauce in the fridge.

Cold hot sauce is awful.

depends on what type of hot sauce. I have different kinds at my house. mexican hot sauces like for tacos and burritos are best cold. Louisiana which I put on crackers with cream cheese is best cold. Pretty much every other type though is best at room temp

I always use ketchup as a last resort to mask the awful bland taste of something unless the recipe requires it (meatloaf for instance) whereas I can use mustard on a lot of things.

Ketchup's taste is too empowering for me. It empowers the taste of anything it touches, which is why I say it's for children. Children would eat play doh if it had ketchup on it.
