buffalo chicken pizzas are the shit. There was a dude near my old apartment who set up a pizza shop. He was a cool old african dude and I remember I was his first customer and I got fucking addicted. His pizza was amazing. His buffalo chicken pizza consisted of him baking some buffalo wings, cutting off the meat and then putting buffalo sauce as the pizza sauce and using the buffalo chicken as the topping with cheese. Shit was wowsome awesome. I used to order so much from him that he would give me outrageous discounts. 6 bucks for any large pizza. I haven't lived in that apartment for over 3 years but a few months back I stopped in and he gave me a large for 6 bucks and free sodas. Awesome dude. He also made a joke that I lost a lot of weight because i don't order from him anymore. Sad but true

How much has it increased though? It is valued at 90 - 300 dollars at this site (http://www.racketboy.com/retro/nintendo/snes/2008/02/the-rarest-and-most-valuable-super-nintendo-snes-games.html), and that's taking into account the popularity increase from the whole Mother 3 debacle, and unless there is some mother 4 or any other continuation of the franchise any further growth would probably be even slower than it has been. I've always felt like there was quite a bit of luck and/or heavy doses of patience involved in flipping rare video games as the market for people willing to pay out the ass is rather slim (as the page I linked indicates by giving such a huge range or value). And this isn't even taking into account the cost of buying the cart to begin with. Surely there are better collectables to invest in, if that's something of interest. The only reason I can see someone wanting to buy a Earthbound cart is because they want 'the authentic feel' of playing it on a SNES instead of an emulator.

I pirated Earthbound when I played it. I live in Europe though, so I wasn't a lost sale.

Owning Earthbound is a sign that you arent a dirty poor, for the record. Cause anyone without money doesn't own it, nor would have the cash to make such a purchase.

A better comparison is Van Cruncheon's fixation with buying gaudy tech. He clearly doesnt need it, but since he is not a dirty poor - why not?

you know i never understood the people obsession with the game,it's really just a lame dragon quest clone,there is like a gazillion of them... okay i guess the setting is unique but i don't find it amusing,the first bit of the game seems coming out straight of a bad kid movie from the 80' and the rest of the game kinda devolve into a "SEARCH THE 8 MAGICAL MCGUFFINS!"

Earthbound is probably the most overrated JRPG series out there. I've never really had fun with a single one of the games.

Anyway, people who are playing coy about SNES emulation are guilty as fuck. I know that it isn't kosher but I admit that I played a lot of SNES games on an emulator. I suppose I could spend a couple grand to play the SNES classics or I could download them within minutes for free and not have to worry if I spent $100 on a game I hate. Tough choice...

the music and graphics in Earthbound the main things I like about that game. The gameplay is a great dragon quest clone, so there's that too, but mostly the graphix & music. Mother 3 does those things just as well, and everything else better though.
