Gamers are usually socially difficult, narcissistic sorts who have been told all their life that in spite of being shunned from society they are special and better than normal people.  Folks like that don't take well to hearing opinions that disagree with theirs, especially in their area of specialty that ONLY THEY TRULY UNDERSTAND.

The 6.8 always baffled me because I don't understand why Gamespot even reviewed it at all.  Would they review a child's placemat with a faded picture of an elephant on it, or a bent spruce sapling in a pot, or a slightly deflated balloon?  If they did, what rating would they give them?  Is 6.8 the universal rating for things that aren't games and also aren't good?

Hey, don't let them get you down. That's more than enough justification for me, I love the shit out of John de Lancie. 

He's actually one of the better Star Trek novel writers, even if that's not the greatest bar to leap over and he gets help. He completely GETS Q somehow. Somewhat like Andrew Robinson's Garak book.

As for the gif, I was mostly wondering why people were posting it outside of the My Little Pony factor, DrForester was posting it in like every thread and it made no sense, now other people are doing it. Didn't know if it had some meaning from the show I was missing or if they were making fun of DrForester. Most of the Pony gifs are pretty straight forward in terms of the expressive ponies at least.

Reviewers like gamespot is the reason Japan is giving up on the west.

In the west they rather give generic pretty looking games like Skyrim a 10/10. Really the game has the most generically boring cheesy D&D story. Extremely dull characters, uncreative generic monsters and bad combat. Lets not forget it's another first person sickening view. They didn't even bother trying to make the third person actions good. What I'm getting at is many western gamers that are into trash like Skyrim don't enjoy creativity outside the norm. They are close-minded xenophobic gamers.

Now lets look at ZeldaSS:
Japanese still have something western culture doesn't have..........CREATIVITY and STYLE. Zelda perfectly combines these two elements. Graphics are above average, insane beautiful art work, exotic story (won't find in generic western games), Above average combat, fresh enemies never before seen, and interesting characters. I will say that the controls could use some fixing but that isn't an issue at all.

Like many others, I am pretty disgusted at Skyward's 7.5 given by that "reviewer."
It has gotten very good scores across the board, 10's and 9's. Then I decide to wait on Gamespots (late?) review expecting similar, because it seemed that all the review websites were roughly sharing the same views on Skyward.

7.5... anyone still waiting for Gamespot to say that reviewer has been sacked? Hope so.

Disgraceful,I am not being a fanboy, I am attacking the fact that Gamespot have clearly done this for hits on the site/to be "contraversial" and, oh yeah, beause it isn't CoD or Skyrim. Skyrim got a 9.0? There are major flaws in that game? 
I have no doubts this is going ot be a great game, I have never taken Gamespots review scores seriously, I would have been able to deal with, say, an 8? 7.5 though? Weak.

Gamespot, If you want to actually be taken seriously when it comes to reviews or anythign game related, sort your reviewers out, as in get someone who actually plays GAMES, not Call of Duty, stop reviewing to the current trends favour and give a god damn honest review that does a game 5 years in the making justice.

As far as im concerned Call of Duty is what people play who never used to play games, but when gaming became "cool" there was CoD. Shooting terrorists. Biggest casual piece of trash going, play a real fps like timesplitters or something.

I had really high hopes for this game but like many others, I'm cancelling my preorder after that 7.5.
I've been depressed lately and I was hoping this game would lift me from my low spirits but I guess I was wrong.

Shaka, Oscar, don't get worked up over it. Gamespot has a clear agenda against Nintendo, the Wii, Miyamoto-san, and the Legend of Zelda series in particular. All the evidence is right there in front of your faces, remember 8.8-gate?

I haven't played the game yet, but from what I've read, this is the OoT of our generation. Don't let GS stop you guys from enjoying it; I sure as hell won't.

Sure, the 7.5 might SEEM low, but that's just the nominal review score. To get the effective review score we need to take the nominal score and divide it by the reviewer's body mass index.

I just don't get it.
I have stated previously, the error in the review, of Tom Mc Flea (I don't like him very much), in which he said that the infrared sensor doesn't work properly, fair enough... if this game used infrared sensing...

Nintendo has avoided using infrared, but used the motion+, gyro-scopic type sensory instead. Pointing at the screen is not how it works. This has been stated previously, by myself and others. Of course the motion isn't going to work... when you are using it wrong.

I call for a re-review. It can be by the same incompetent person... or they can get someone else to give it a go. but this game does not deserve to be lowered in score, because the guy can't figure out the simple, streamlined motion+ controlling. People are allowed to have opinions, ok... but shouldn't they back it up with... I dunno... something reliable, rather than the poor skill of the reviewer?

If someone gave a low review to Skyrim or Uncharted or several of the other HD games out recently, because they can't find the attack/jump/shoot button (when it is in plain sight), would you stand for it? I think not.

Its practically defamation, by claiming the game is faulty, ruining its reputation, because the reviewer doesn't understand how to use it... when its practically childs play. Zelda doesn't deserve this, Nintendo doesn't deserve this, and WE don't deserve this.

Come to think about it... I kind of am angry. For now Gamespot... screw you.
