I am amused how people are so out of sorts about kickstarter. It's like a poor man's venture capitalism. The "out" if they don't hit the mark seems like a good safety valve for this iteration of the idea.

Guess they prefer the blind $60 day one to large publisher and all the DLC you can afford model instead.

I made a somewhat long post and I mentioned in my post that I considered pc gaming to be more aimed at teenagers with lots of free time to mess around with patches, mods, stuff like that. Now that I'm older, I just don't have time or care about screwing around with stuff anymore. I just want to sit down and play.

There seems to be a huge purge going on, I noticed a lot of people getting banned all week, its super common to browse a thread and see banned users that posted the same day. I wonder about whats going on?

Yeah, I've noticed the mods are really clamping down in hot topics... I love how people can get away with calling anime/RPG fans pedos but you make one slight negative comment about PC gaming you get banned. And btw shuri, I totally agree with you on the PC gaming bit. I used to have the patience to do things like make boot disks to run DOS games back in the day, but now I have so many other options I am too lazy to bother

mame and emus are so easy to use though! all them superior japan games right there!

I do use mame and other emus of course (though whenever I can I prefer to play on real systems)

I even do dabble in PC gaming from time to time, but I just don't like it when I have to do all sorts of crazy stuff like download the MS compatibility toolkit, go in there to disable DirectDraw emulation, just so I can run Planescape without having every sprite in the game walking backwards. (still did it, anyways)
