I think there may be some truth to the idea that a "slutty" dressing person will be more likely to get raped if there is a sexual predator in the area who is absolutely determined to rape
somebody that night.
So basically if you're wearing flip-flops in amish country, you're the slut. Then again, the main reason men rape is for the power thrill, so that doesn't make sense as you would think the women who dress more conservatively would have bigger targets on their backs. Either way, the definition of people who brought rape on themselves is totally elastic.
IMO: If you're posting on GAF and it doesn't feel like its "me against the internet" on some level then you're likely a shitty poster. Meaning, I wouldn't want to be a part of the flow and vibe of GAF without feeling dirty about it.
Then I guess your opinion sucks? lol
Not necessarily. I recall a thread about victim blaming in which I felt like one of the few saying a woman's dress should not come into question when she's assaulted or raped. Others thought the clothing of a victim, the more "slutty", would incite a man to rape. In several threads it's felt like me against the internet given how few women there are on GAF who vocalize in such threads. I consider them the smart ones.
From what I observed while I was a member on GAf. Most of the females rather ignore or not even enter those threads because it just makes them a target. Its not really that they agree with what is being said there.
My reason for not speaking on those matters was that I didn't care enough to defend my honor in the eyes of some shut in nerds.
I just automatically assumed devo was posting in every one of those threads, therefore making some fun arguments go on at least. It's totally pointless to argue sex or religion with most people though, free will is far more powerful than logic in those matters.
