What pisses me off about this is the concern trolls jumping on and hassling someone for not emphasizing//caring about what they do.I find that kind of shit to be worse.
To me, it depends on the degree. Yeah, I don't think it makes for good discussion when people feign outrage just to ride around on their high horse and claim some moral high ground. However, I also don't see anything wrong with taking issue with the "good riddance" sentiments and attempting to point out why taking glee in the dismantling of a studio isn't
necessarily something people should take delight in. Given that the average age skews a bit older than 13, I don't think it's ridiculous to encourage an understanding that, although less crappy games is arguably a good thing, less jobs -- especially in these tough times -- isn't.
Basically, I understand your point at disliking the prevalence of righteous indignation. However, in my opinion, you have picked the wrong horse here to illustrate that point.
